Garrett is an absolute sham and joke as a coach, but he doesn't run, block, throw catch, or tackle on the field. This team has a load of gutless, overpaid, overhyped players that have no understanding of the privilege they have in playing professional football at this level. They want to strut their stuff through their cars, clothes, houses, and are simply just low grade, low class jokes for professional football players. I was probably rightly categorized as a pollyanna for a good many years.
Some people just eventually stare reality in the face on their own time. Actually in a lot of ways, I envy the folks who stay positive..

it would be kind of cool to actually have hope in a positive outcome for the Cowboys, but I haven't felt that in years.

I would agree that our fanbase certainly has it's share of such types but so does every fanbase. Every single fanbase has such folks.
The guy is hurting. He's down. He's staring reality in the face. No need to kick him and back over his dog on the way out the driveway.....

Back in the 70's, 80's ( yes even in the not so good years. Well maybe not 1988 and 89 lol) and the 90's I was an optimistic Cowboy fan. I thought we would win every week so I know what it's like. Jerry just beat me down this century. In the few years that I did believe like 2007 and 2014 it hit me like a rock again. It's hard to watch and root for a team when you know how it's going to end. It's the old memories that keep me coming back.
