Android 2.2 officially released as over-the-air update

At least for the Nexus One thus far.

I'm sure the release for others phones should be right behind it.

Here is the platform highlights for this release.

Lots of good stuff coming. I LOVE the fact that you can use it as a HotSpot without having to jailbreak the phone. My wife is extremely happy about that fact since her iTouch only has WiFi access and is only good for listening to music when we are on the train. (well and her Sidekick sucks for web browsing)

Finally get a much enhanced in browser Flash too. No more broke-*** websites and lots more apps/games.

Hell yeah. Been waiting for this since I got my Droid. Going to be pretty nice. Flash is going to be awesome, and the wifi hotspot will be fantastic.

Can't wait.
