Andy Dalton Era Begins **merged**

Team is going to have to play a lot better to pick up for Dalton’s weaknesses. Less turnovers and the D need to get more stops.

Still what i saw is a more dynamic offense with Dalton under center. And if you dont understand dynamic: it means change by time.
With Dak our offense is not dynamic. Its pre snap read and throw.

With Dalton we won the game which Dak couldnt do now for 4 games into the season. Lets debate why it is like it is but that is a fact: We won with Dalton: 4 mils against a top 3 payed QB.

Dalton played well but I wouldn't call the offense more dynamic at all.

I only remember 4 possessions from Dalton:
1. taking over for Dak. He was sacked and later threw a pass to an open receiver. Looked good handing the ball off to Zeke on the TD, though.
2. Nearly throwing an int. 3 and out IIRC
3. Fumbling the handoff that led to 6 points.
4. GW drive.

As a TCU guy and Cowboy fan I hope Andy does great but we are foolish if we think he can add they pocket escapability and ability to run. This will be a little more Zeke heavy...which can work

Having the extra day to prepare this week will be huge. Dalton was benched last year then had no offseason, no preseason and two snaps so far during the season. When he got sacked on the first play that was his first time getting hit since last fall.

he is going to need some time to adjust. Thankfully they have the extra day for next weeks monday night game.

Dalton is no world beater but he is experienced. He is also playing with a lot of talent around him on offense. Possibly more than he ever had in Cincinnati. They can win games and the division with him. Problem is Mike Nolan's defense and they will be all season most likely.
