Oh my gawd.I'm well aware how you feel about our best overall player Red...![]()
Dak is the 8th best player we have on offense.
Oh my gawd.I'm well aware how you feel about our best overall player Red...![]()
The stats show that Dak is a more accurate thrower than Aaron Rodgers.
You sure this is the hill you want to die on?
Dak couldn't hit that target twice with 500 footballs. That was impressive accuracy.
Who went to the playoffs every year his first five years and put up 10 wins or more in four of those years. It's Andy Dalton.
It's the dycotomy of this fan site.
Older fans watch the games and decide what they see.
Younger fans raised in the time of Google..prefer their phones to do their thinking for them.
They believe if it's on the web..it MUST be right.
What a joke.
I like technology but it's only as good as the reader is in analyzing data.
It's like these doctors on TV talking about cures.
They have no clue what this virus is doing. It keeps mutating and we are always behind defeating it.
The doctors daily contradict themselves about what to do...
wear a mask, no need for masks, kids are immune, no they are not.
Information can not always tell the story.
Who went to the playoffs every year his first five years and put up 10 wins or more in four of those years.
In Cincinnati for crying out loud.
whos just got replaced because they only won 2 games last year?
Im not twisting the subject.I’m not dying on any hill. You’re twisting the subject now. It’s not about if Dak is more accurate than Rodgers or not. It’s about how people who only see every Dak pass and see only a fraction of other QB’s passes, overstate his accuracy issues despite a lot of factual evidence that those issues are overblown.
It doesn’t mean every single stat is infallible. It means people are ignoring data to suite their pre conceived bias based off just what they see, which is ultimately limited. That’s the point I’m making.
Dat's da Bunny.Who went to the playoffs every year his first five years and put up 10 wins or more in four of those years.
In Cincinnati for crying out loud.
Because they're the Bengals and sold off their entire team to rebuild.
The Brown family is notoriously cheap. They feed off the TV money and do the bare minimum required by the CBA.
Dallas wins more than 8 games last year with Dalton.
That's just your hate talking. If Dak's accuracy was truly that bad, he would not have one of the highest career passer ratings among active QBs. Even higher than your newest buddy, Andy. lol You make this too easy sometimes, well, all the time.I didn’t have to see this video to tell you that Dalton’s accuracy is far greater than Dak’s. It’s from the dreaded eye test of watching both play in actual games. Dak’s accuracy is awful despite those 68-69% fantasy #s.
Im not twisting the subject.
You said we critique Dak more for missed throws because we watch every single snap he takes. In comparison, we only see a small fraction of Dalton’s throws because we dont watch all of his games. That is all true.
My point is that it works both ways. Folks that say Andy isnt as good as Dak and not as accurate are only pointing to the stats sheet to make that determination, seeing as they arent watching all of his snaps either.
You said “Stats that are derived from people who actually do watch everyplay of every game and then document the results“.
Im saying that those stats dont always tell the whole story. If so, Dak would be considered a more Accurate thrower than Aaron Rodgers.
There are QBs that are asked to make throws Dak doesnt make (Back-Shoulder, Fades).
All im saying is lets not sit here and act like this guy doesnt have issues with ball-placement (something I give you credit for actually admitting)
Dak finishes 2019 as one of the NFL's most accurate passers, as accounted for in multiple statistical databases:
*fans blow it off*
Dalton tosses a few into a net in his back yard:
*OMG, such accuracy!*
I'm not crazy about paying $35 million for any QB, but the narratives of this place have rendered any sort of objective analysis virtually obsolete.![]()
I don't think that. I know that. Dak's stat sheet when compared to the rest of the league's QB stat sheets speaks volumes about how the critics outright lie about Dak's accuracy. And you fall for those lies hook, line, and sinker every damn time. You think Dak’s critics are “lying” or “seeing things” when they mention accuracy issues?
Fair enough retort my friend.I don't think Dalton is a bad quarterback. I just don't think he gets better with talent. I know that sounds crazy but look at Baker Mayfield for instance. Great supporting cast but he didn't look any better than he did his rookie year. RYAN FITZPATRICK is the same way. Dalton isn't bad by any means but he's not going to turn into a top 10 quarterback based on talent around him. He's always going to be Andy Dalton.
You’re right they don’t always tell the whole story. No argument there. I just think it’s about strong for people to be clamoring for Andy Dalton based on a 3 minute workout video. Ya know.
I know some of it is Dak fatigue that causes it. I get it. But c’mon.
if the Red rifle did become our starter I would be rooting for him to ball out and prove me wrong. Believe me. I just don’t think it would be the best thing. We shall see though.
So let me ask you.....when you say get better....to what extent? You think top 10 production next season?Fair enough retort my friend.
Maybe I have my blue shade glasses on, but I think he can get better.
By the way, a lot of this board could learn about disagreeing without the nastiness. We have proved it can be done. Probably dating myself a bit but I remember the days when most with different opinions could do it in a civil way.
Have a great day.
I think the interest in all of this is kinda dwindling and that is probably not positive news for Dak. I think he's losing support here but that's just my opinion.
