Wow, now I really understand where you are coming from.

I won't argue with you then. Seems pointless.

Good. I commend you.

Its all about SB's... not shoddy coaching that costs you games along with a choke QB.

Jim Johnson would be a HC candidate if not for the fact that he doesn't want the job

Yup... and by staying on as DC he is disguising the HC flaws in Reid.

You're insults speaks volumes about about your respect for an experienced NFL coach. Can't wait to see what your new head coach, Wade Phillips will do this year. BTW he's not looking too svelte these days either.
As far as Andy Reid is concerned ...

EAGLES LOOKING GOOD BEFORE THE DRAFT

Reid indeed is ready to return to his post as the team's head coach and executive vice president of football operations on Friday, he will find that the wheels turned smoothly, thank you, in what is shaping up to be a momentum-generating off-season.

Oh, there is plenty of work to be done. Nobody is pretending the Eagles are a finished product. But the Eagles have accomplished quite a bit of their plan already.

Reid, while he wasn't in the office every day, stayed available to Tom Heckert and Joe Banner and anyone who needed to reach him to discuss an important football issue. Reid spent a day here and there at the NovaCare Complex, having full confidence in the web of teamwork handling the day-to-day responsibilities of free agency and the preparations for the draft and the finishing touches applies to the coaching staff and all the other loose ends that an off-season brings.

Reid has given a lot to the Eagles in his nine years. He has helped lead the football fortunes from the NFL's depths to the upper echelon and he has done so by running a classy, hard-working football team.

Certainly, the Eagles have gone out and done what they planned, so the perspective here is that, yes, the Eagles made the best of a difficult situation.

Reid returns on Friday, with an NFL draft to bear down on and close in on and to master. The Eagles have six crucial picks on April 28-29, and they have their commander back in his seat.

I would suggest that this is not such a bad plan for all HC take a couple of weeks during free agency, if you have been there a year or more, let the souting staff etc get on with their work, some home time sounds like its in sort supply for HC's. Still available by phone but banned from site gives them some holiday in a 365 day a year job.

Andy Reid has been the best HC in the NFC BY FAR since he came to the Eagles. I'm no Eagle fan but in terms of winning percentage and personnel who has been better? Tossing a few zingers about the SB rings is fun, but they've done better on the field than anyone else in the NFC during his tenure. I'll give him his credit and I wish him all the best with his family situation.

I'll admit I like to make fun of Andy Reid. He's one donut short of an 8.0 on the Richter scale.......If he put on a T-shirt on with a red X on it, helicopters would try to land on him....Put him in space and he would blot out the sun and solve global warming...that sort of thing. But, simply put, the Eagles have been excellent at using the draft and managing the cap. And last season lest anyone forget, without their star quarterback, the Eagles dismembered the Cowboys. Until the Cowboys can do better, all we're doing is "talkin trash."
