He was talking about Hicks and how he had been a good draft choice for the Eagles. How as a third rounder,He has had an impact and is playing well for them. He mentioned that Hicks was the one who injured Romo as a point of fact. Not as a way to brag on him.

Nothing to see here folks. Move along.......

That new outrage society y'all smh. People really hear things some strange ways nowadays

they hear what they want to hear to reinforce the things they already hold true. so while chuckie hardly meant the player MEANT to hurt romo, the OP *needed* to hear that, so he did.

why? dunno. i'd have to charge for that therapy.

Was it dirty - I don't know - did her purposely drive him into the turf - that is an obvious yes! Purposely driving into the turf is a personal foul on the QB I believe.

To me it happened very quickly, but it looked like a pancake takedown to intentionally drive him into the turf.

Exactly its no way in the world I would have thought that was what Gruden was implying.

Gruden said it. Any player he talks about he says they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I did hear the comment and found it a bit odd. I think he was just trying to say he was the player who got to Romo when Romo inured his shoulder. i think he meant it was a good play for him to get to Romo and not saying it was a good thing that Romo got injured.

Yes. 44 All Pros play every Monday night.

that's todays mentality however. *hear a problem* then go running around as if you heard correctly.

i swear not too long ago people didn't need to make up crap to be worried about as we had it. now we can't get to what needs attention cause in some peoples mind, EVERYTHING needs correcting.

I heard it, and what's the big deal?? He's right. He did knock him out and Hicks has been pretty impressive for a player from UT!

It was dirty, he lifted up and put all his weight on Tony's shoulder.

What he should have said is, "He's a fat slob and he flopped on top of Romo after he was down, saving the Eagles season." Because that is all it was, and if Romo had not been hurt, no one would be talking about the Eagles.

No No No, you had to hear how he said it... as if it were a point to be proud of. I have no problem with the other stuff Gruden said but then he threw in that lil bit about injuring Romo with a tone in his voice like it was a great thing to have done. Don't say there is "nothing to see here folks." There is something and it should be heard by all so they can make up their own minds.

Actually. I did hear it. And there was no evil intent by Gruden when he stated it. I was watching the game and remember it specifically. Gruden says everything with that tone of excitment in his voice. It's why he's often imitated by comedians and others.
I know some feel that everything said about the Cowboys or one of their players by a media member outside of Dallas is automatically suspect. But this just was'nt the case. As others on this thread who also heard it have pointed out.

And others on this thread that also heard it disagree with your conclusion. I distinctly remember him saying what he said and wondering to myself what the heck that was suppose to mean. IMO, it was pointed as praise for Hicks. Your interpretation of what he meant is no more and no less valid than those who heard it as I did. Please stop with the I'm right and you're wrong debate. Civil folks can disagree. I heard what I heard. You heard what you heard. And?
