I don't think either would fit a 3-4 defense, would they? Boley a l'il small to be an OLB and Bernard too small to play nose, IMO. I don't like the fact that the G-Women may sign them but I couldn't see either one playing here.

I think our version of the 3-4 is flexible enough they could.

But even if they couldn't. The Giants just got stronger.

We have continuity.

idk man, I think a 1st for Boley would be much better and smarter than a 1st, 3rd and 5th for Roy Williams

Roy better ****ing start doing something

ok, this is how you do it;

1st. Hopefully Jerry Jones isnt looking for big market trade like he did with erik williams when a team offered a # 2 pick. But jerry jones wanted a number one pick. So, hopefully get a # 2 or # 3 for roy williams safety, maybe with a 6th thrown in.

That gives you another high pick to get a good player in draft, along with our 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, and 5.

2nd, Look at WRS, your keeping probably T O, Roy Williams WR, Austin, Hurd, (stanback is at end of his run). And you still have crayton, if you keep T O, see if you can trade crayton for most likely a 3rd rounder.

Now with trading crayton and roy williams, or losing Miles Austin in 2nd round tender, you have, 2, 3 - clevelands pick, 3 roy williams trade safety, 3 crayton trade, 4-detroits pick, and our 4th, those are generally good players.

That would give you 6 players on rounds 2-4. You can then use your 5ths, 6ths and 7ths to move up in the higher rounds to get players like Duke Robinson, Sean Smith or delmas, Gilbert, etc. You can still get a good back up QB in rounds 4th to 5th like bomar, etc too.

Then on top of that, by trading roy williams safety, and crayton or losing miles austin on tender, you get more cap money. Then you can sign burnett and canty, i think those 2 players along with keith davis are a must.

Im not a cap expert, but I think by trading roy wlliams safety and crayton, that should increase you cap money to about 20 million. That should be more than enough to resign ware, canty, burnett and draft picks, maybe even enough to go get ray lewis if he can still play at a high level. And in the draft you can get a good young NT like Sammie Hill in 5th to 6th round. Thats how!

I think we'll wait till the market cools before bringing in any reasonably priced players. I mean, 14 Mil a year for a DT and 9 Mil a year for a DB are just crazy stupid.

I'll think Haynesworth had a career year last year. Now that he has been paid we'll see what he does. Lil Danny has not gotten a very good return on his money in the past. It'll be interesting to see him and Gurode go at it though.

While we are complaining, I decide to lighten to mood and post some reactions from that cesspool message board, also known as "Talk About The Eagles"

JPL0720 has this to say:
"F him, Banner, and every single person in this orginazation. You pissants."

philllyfanatic had this nice gem:
"Andy Reid should still be fired. He shoulda lost 10 pounds today because he was sweating and working so hard to keep BDawk an Eagle..."

Westbrook#36 loves Brian Dawkins:
"This is Fin bull**** if he signs with the Broncos...F the FO. Dawk is the heart and soul of the whole franchise and he can still play."

vox populi hates the world:
"ome of you idiots are so ******** one hopes you never reproduce. Would you mind just severing your willy now? Thank you. The World Thanks you."

And EagleHoliac made me laugh with this one:
"I'M GETTIN A DAWKINS BRONCOS JERSEY TOOO! F THE DRAFTY PARTY F THE EAGLES CARNIVAL....F THE PEP RALLY AND MOST OF ALL F THE 2009 SEASON FOR THE EAGLES... I HOPE WE GOT 0 -16."

Your Filthadelpia Eagles!

:trophy: :eagles:

Just freshening up this thread a little...

Are we ready for day 2?

I'm sure some of you are starting to get a wee bit nervous and you want to vent-- :D

Hey John!

Yes, I am an "old so & so".

Business is holding-- But I project the Cowboys to be on a downward curve-- Oops! I guess that one already came true.

I'm not confident enough to project an upward curve at this point.

How'bout you?

It seems with all the veterans seemingly being dumped on the market this offseason. We would be able to find one or two servicable, economically additions to ease the transition for the positions we're going to draft.

I hope we draft OL/DL early and often in the draft. Safety and MLB are positions that I'd rather have some players with experience down the stretch.

I agree. And the cap situation is now bugging me too...yes, we have a surplus but there are 20 plus teams with more...which puts us in a lousy spot to compete and I'd really rather not see Canty go.

Glad your business is still cranking.

Me...good...the music stuff is happening nicely...got signed to another publishing deal....

Supposedly Boley is visiting the Giants.

Where is Bob when I need him to rue with me?

Didn't A-Rod get in some hot water over Boley? :p:
