Another Dak thread. stats

It's funny how its always considered a team game until the topic of Dak stats is brought up.

None of that happens without good receivers making plays, but as always, the Stans only give credit to the QB

Well of course it takes other players.
That is why I do not like the idea of the QB is responsible for the Wins or Losses. That is a generic simp talking point like they pedal on ESPN.

Which is why I was bringing up some of Pickens stats in a different thread. Even though GP has had issues the last couple of games, he is still top 5 in almost all WR stats.

And of course CeeDee missed part of the season but he is still in the top 10 in yards and around 30 yards shy of 1k season.

Also J. Williams has reached his 1k rushing yards and is currently in the top 10 for rushing yards. Tied at 4th with rushing TDs...which would/should/could be higher if they did not get cute and pass too much in the redzone.

The QB gets hit with the Wins or Losses even though it is a team game.
But just because someone posts positive stats, does not mean they are absolving the QB nor does it mean they think the QB is doing it all by himself.

3rd in passing TDs
5th in completion %
2nd in QBR

Did not realize he jumped to first place in passing yards.

Great.

Seems our FO used exactly those stats to decide if he is worth his big contract.

It's like baseball, where W-L are put on pitchers, even though you can have cases like Skenes who is an excellent pitcher but finished 10-10 on the season.
Outside of the Pirates and Marlins, the dude may of won 15-18 games last year in 20 decisions.

Like I get it, as the ball is in both players every "snap" when on the field, but you need more than a good pitcher or QB to win games.
I think Dak has his flaws, but we didn't lose 7 games purely on his play. The defense was truly bad this year and gave next to no favors to the offense

Dak leads in passing yards because of how bad the defense is.

Not to take away from Dak, he still has to ball to produce that, but easy to get yards when you have a defense that allows so many scores.

It's why we are #1 on offensive yards, but only #4 on offensive points. AND that would be lower than #4 if Aubrey didn't exist.

I don't care if we ever win anything as long as dak gets some stats. It's like a participation trophy for us all. win, win.

I am sorry if putting up some stats have triggered people.
Was not the intent.
I used to put up stat posts last season on a regular basis but have been slacking due to some issues on my end.

I was just kind of shocked that he was first in passing yards.

Spoke of CeeDee and Pickens earlier in the thread.

Ferguson has 570 Yards
Flournoy has 389 yards.

Nice to have a WR combo that both get 1k yards.
A QB that will have over 4k yards.
RB with over 1k yards.

Now this team should not sit on it's butt and go cheap in FA this year like they have in the past. They need to get a quality player or two and also get some good players in the draft. Two first round picks right now but no second day picks.

On a side note. If the Dak threads trigger you...nobody is forcing you to come in and read them. That goes for any thread that can be considered positive of Dak or Negative of Dak.

interesting, lets take the TDs from the games you mentioned. and then over all interceptions for the season...

he has 10 total interceptions on the season. are you sure it all came against teams with winning record? or you just create stats on the fly to win an argument?

This year was always going to be about excuses for the Dakbots.
What really happened was that the Cowboys played a tough schedule, and neither the offense or the defense was ready for that. Dak got his usual big stats versus the weak teams, but he got outgunned by the opposing quarterback of the good teams.
The defense got bullied by good teams, but after playing weak teams this forum declared that the Cowboys were back!
When the Cowboys lost, the Dakbots who declared the Cowboys were back the previous week were quick to blame the defense for EVERY loss.

I thought you said defense was soft? 44,44,40,37,34.... figure out what that means.

ok, just so we are clear. the Hate Dak Cult says: all wins are somebody else, including the other team messing up. all losses are Dak's fault.

once you understand that mentality, it will all make sense.
