Another disturbing quote from Wade

Asked about Romo's status for Sunday:

“I have no idea. All I know is he broke his finger and that's what we said all along and he did not practice, so that's where we are.”

He's the HC. He should know. He should be the "decider" about romo's status.

Then he said romo would have no chance to play if he did not practice, though Romo did throw before Wednesday's practice but not during. Also, Romo suggested he wanted to play Sunday.

Seems to me that, more and more, Wade Phillips has become a caretaker.
Maybe Wade Wilson or Jason Garrett will be the deciders on this one.

At any rate, WP needs to at least act like he's HC and in the know about his personnel instead of just looking like the Michelin Man on the sidelines.

He does know. He just isn't required to let you, or the media, know.

Wait!

Jell-O in the shorts is always good.

Some other points.

#Though it is best to be coy, the point is, he said "I have no idea."
Say anything, Wade. Say we are evaluating the situation/He's day to day but right now our plans are to start Johnson/We're awaiting word and we might not know until game day etc. etc. etc., just don't say you are clueless, Wade.

Saying something like that is just abdication.

#There is no question Wade a great guy.

# I appreciate the Wade loyalists' defense of him.

# The Michelin Man is a beloved icon. :D

Defending him from what? A weak argument you throw out there because the HC says on Wed he does not know the status of an injured player? Really this is such a weak arguement to even make about the ability of any HC

I admire your love and loyalty to Wade.
It is rare these days, and he would be grateful for your words.

All the coaches do it and it really serves no purpose. If anything it more adversely affects the player. If a player is hurting because of an injury and it affects his play, how do the fans or media know it. It may look like he simply is not giving full effort while in reality he may not be able to. All coaches need to be more forthcoming. I would think the players want the fans to know if they are out busting their butt while hurt. They would probably get a lot less criticism.

Defending Wade from a weak argument is not a big deal. Seeing you post something as lame as a HC saying on Wed he does not know the status of a player is a joke. I'll judge Wade as any HC at the end of a season not at a press conferance where he says he does not know game day status of a player.

Another shameless post about the HC from GtB. Nothing to see here...

The faux Norman Rockwell pic doesn't lend anymore credibility than the Walter Winchell wannabe in the avatar.

"He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool - shun him.

He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, is a child - teach him.

He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep - wake him.

He who knows, and knows that he knows, is a wise man - follow him."

Wade is a wise man.
