It was too much credit in this instance.
The Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Seattle Seahawks 40-34. Afterwards on the FOX postgame show, the customary graphic was shown of the three or more interesting points of a game. In this case, the graphic was this:
Per usual, the winning quarterback, Derek Carr this time, had a better than average game. Only 11 incompletions on 36 pass attempts, nearly 300 passing yards and three touchdowns. Really good numbers. The two interceptions are notable but a win is a win.
It has been decades since the Raiders won in Seattle. It is a historical milestone worth excluding either a fellow teammate's or team performance accomplishment. And the OTHER team must get some recognition. Take a bow Geno Smith.
Here are my questions though. Who deserves the graphic profile and numbers recognition more for the Raiders? Carr? Or...
Josh Jacobs?
74 receiving yards on six catches
229 rushing yards on 33 carries scoring 2 touchdowns with 0 fumbles--with the last carry being his 86-yard touchdown clinching run in overtime.

I'll keep saying it until I can't. Quarterbacks get way too much credit or blame in a team sport. It is butt-stupid for Carr outshining Jacobs' outstanding game performance.
