Another game without a sack

Lamar wasn’t even under any pressure yesterday. It was pathetic.

We’ve now gone two straight full games without a sack, and we have only two sacks on the season. To put that in perspective, multiple teams have had more sacks in a single game than we’ve managed through three.

Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Commanders.

At this point, the pass rush is not just a weakness — it’s a glaring problem. We need to address it immediately.

We can't rush the passer, stop the run or cover anyone down field. A recipe for disaster and boy, is it ever to begin the season. This defense does nothing well. Did we contain Henry? At times, sure. But he still scored twice and Baltimore had nearly 200yds on the ground.

They were exposed in the GB playoff game and it's been downhill ever since.

With a defense like this, what hope is there to do anything of value this season? Sure, we can win some games and will because the NFL is designed for even bad teams to win games and compete weekly.

For the record, PFF credits the Cowboys with 9 pressures.

That isn't likely to happen. Who could they sign that will magically make everything better?

Truthfully one pass rusher would help tremendously I just don’t know who that is because it ain’t Crosby. At 3-0 Raiders aren’t trading him. Josh Sweat stil available?

To me, sacks are a smidget if the problem. Being smart enough to make a play is the elephant in the room. The game was almost won without a sack but the Cowboys always find a way to “Keystone Cop” a win.

Don't worry, Von said he can wake up and get 7 - 8 sacks. He'll be awake soon enough.

When a defense gives up 34 the game isn’t almost won. Because at that point it’s about who has the football last. Ravens had it last so it’s a loss. No team even tries what the Ravens did against a formidable defense.

I suspect we will get some sacks in the next 2 games.

They had the ball first and goal. Now tell me what team in the NFL outside of the Dallas Cowboys would lose that game. The Ravens knew they had lost; no one told the Dallas sideline.

The defense is young and can’t get stops. The vets stink. It’s just what it is right now.
