Oh I made note of Pollard running well between the tackles.. But when they went to him in short yardage and goal line he quite simply failed and the coaching staff came to their senses in the second half. Again no shame that he's not as good as Zeke at that but he isn't. It underscores why we need them both doing what they do. The bottom line is Zeke gets more of those opportunities because he is much better at them.
I went through the play by play, I I stand somewhat corrected. While it appears Pollard was better overall running between the tackles, it looks like you are right that when short yardage was needed to move the chains Zeke was the more effective of the two.

On Talkin' Cowboys yesterday Isaiah Stanback said that Sunday was the first time that he witnessed for himself Mike McCarthy walking up to Kellen Moore and physically getting in his face and saying what amounts to "No, don't call that, run the damn ball, Kellen." I think the doomed red zone reverse play was the final straw for McCarthy. I forget the down and distance but it was down close and there was absolutely ZERO reason not to be putting on big boy pants and playing smash mouth there.
I assumed when JJ said before the season started that we were gonna be committed to the run and MM said it and we were able to run in the bucs game but he abandoned it. Then all the sudden it’s been balanced after that. Yeah someone said something. Was obvious we had to do it while Dak was out but Dak comes back and the first half looked like he only ran because he had to here and there. But the second half he ran to set up the pass or a more schemed run system. In the second game MM had what looked to be the play card. Saw him talking into the head set a few times. Not saying he is or was calling plays but maybe influencing some.

Zeke ain’t taking a cut lol. If anyone should take a cut it is Dak. We need some of Dak cash to keep other stars n the team.

Good, cut him, he may not be in the league next year, if he wants more then 3 mil per year.

Yeah Pollard hit a couple of big ones in between the tackles for sure. Gotta give the line some love on that 28 yarder though. The first guy to even have a shot at making the tackle was at 5-6 yards downfield and that guy closed his eyes and ducked his head (probably because he thought it was Zeke comin downhill at him) and Pollard made a nice little dip outside and left him eating grass. The second guy reached for an ankle (good luck with that) at about 13-15 yards. They blew open a hole almost as big on Zeke's hurdle play.. but on that one the safety came up to fill maybe 2 yards past the line of scrimmage but went ankle biting and Zeke turned him into a poster. Ironically both those runs came on the same drive.. you could tell the o-line was starting to own the line of scrimmage.. When I saw that I knew we were going to win the game going away even though we hadn't even taken the lead yet.
