I definitely noticed it but Bledsoe did it half the time also! Romo is the only one that looked like he was getting a clean snap and starting his drop on time. Whatever the problem, they better get it fixed quick because its not going to cut it.

I also agree that we should go more shotgun formations. Sure give Bledsoe and Henson an extra second or two and better view to read the d, and they need every advantage they can get.

Yeah, you know Brady is in the shotgun a lot.

I'm not sure whay we don't use more of it. They did use it some the other night, but messed the snap up, so maybe they are working it in the offense.

You're probably on to something here. Whatever it is, Henson's slow drop into the pocket is very noticeable, and very damaging. But the time he gets set, he already has to step up to make his throw. No wonder he is getting poor results. If a professional quarterbacks coach can't diagnose this problem, the coach should be fired. Although Romo's results on Monday night were not much better than Henson's, Romo looked technically much more sound than Henson, more confident and relaxed, and more like a leader in and out of the huddle. Romo will definitely be the backup this year. Henson's only hope is to get sent to NFLEL next spring, let him get some playing time (if he could win a starting job - which would not be guaranteed at this point given the lack of polish he displays), and then come back in the summer of 2006 and compete for a job again.
