Another Jason Garrett Stat

Not really surprising for a team that has recently been 8-8, 8-8, and 4-4.

Since Garrett became head coach, the Cowboys are 16 - 1 when playing teams with a below .500 record (tied for 1st in the NFL), but only 4 - 19 when playing teams above .500 (tied for 28th in the NFL). Not a good sign.

I have my doubts about these numbers. I know of at-least two games that we lost to sub .500 teams. 2012 Saints game (6-8 going into the game) and 2011 Cardinals game (4-7 going into the game). If this stat IS NOT talking about record at the end of the season rather the record when we played. Then the Skins beat us in the first game last year while sporting a sub .500 record. As did the Eagles in 2011.

It is referring to their final record, not the record at the time they were played.

You lose more often than not when your are playing not to lose and Garrett has no stomach to play to win.

Looks like We'll finish 9-7 then.

does any one really believe this team is going to beat sf or seatle in dallas

well if it's in Dallas I like our chances better. Both SF and SEA (at least away) have looked less than stellar this year

but yeah, if we have to play the hawks in SEA, then break out the lube

What an interesting stat. They've really been hurt by the randomness of the NFL schedule. If it was reversed and had come out to 23 under .500 teams and 17 over, we may have snuck into the playoffs the last two years and be thinking at least a little bit different about things. I wonder what the Patriots breakdown looks like, with them beating on the hapless AFC Least for the last 6-7 years.

good thing it is common knowledge that 5 years from now, jason garrett will miraculously turn into tom landry otherwise it might be tough for him to last the season

we just have to "keep believing"

You mean we struggle when we can't out athlete a team? I wonder why?
