This might be my favorite draft for the Cowboys in over a decade. I think we hit on draft picks from beginning to end. Getting La'el Collins was truly a special coup, that I'll never forget. Major credit to Jerry Jones for getting him here, that was a championship level transaction.

As excited as I am about Collins, the player I'm most excited about is actually Gregory. I don't think it was a mistake to give this kid the number 94. I think it is important to understand how people actually feel about his talent. Doing a search for Randy Gregory before this combine incident, this is how people thought of him.

Mayock had him as potentially the number 1 overall draft pick.

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller had him as a top 10 pick.

CBS Sports' Rob Rang had him as a top 5 pick potentially.

This reminds me a lot of the Dez Bryant slip, except that he only fell to the bottom of the first. I think he was a huge steal, and a huge addition to this defense. I think with getting him and Byron Jones, we've really stepped into the right direction on defense.

When you combine these with some of the other things we've been able to put together over the years, I think we've slowly but surely put some pieces together for this year that will really surprise some people.

I feel the same way. I think this draft will yield pretty good results pretty quickly. I would not be surprised if this team is in the Super Bowl, if not this year, within the next three.

Good OP by Beast gets totally derailed.
This was another excellent draft Gallian, and when you start stringing together good drafts, its amazing how quickly you can build a championship caliber team.
Got to give Will McClay his props, he has elevated this teams scouting and talent evaluation to elite status.
I still shake my head when I think back to the days of Larry Lacewell, and the horrible draft picks that busted.

To say Murray isn't better than Randle or Williams flies in the face of the evidence of how the coaching staff dealt out the touches.

To say Murray is not better than McFadden is laughable.

Thank you. Also, we did have a great Oline last year but I don't for a second think we can just stick anyone back there and everything will go smooth. Currently we have a RB that has played only 5 games since 2011, a guy who has only played in one full season since 2008 and had the worst YPC in the entire league, and an underwear thief who was Murray's water boy last year.

If we don't get a real running back in the backfield we will have to rely on a 35 year old Romo to throw the ball more. We all know what happens when we ask Romo to throw the ball more too.

Fans who say they feel completly comfortable with an unproven back like Randle or Williams sound delusional to me.

Let's try to get this thread back on track.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...regory-a-better-athlete-than-jadeveon-clowney

Cosell said that Gregory was a better prospect than Clowney. This kid has a lot of upside and can definitely get stronger over time. It will be nice to see him around 260-265. Cosell went on to say that he was a far better prospect than Clowney.

I think having him here with Marinelli is hugely underrated. I don't think Marinelli is going to fail to bring out the talent and ability from this kid. You also have to think he is going to see a lot of single blocks.

If our offense can be productive and explosive, it'll force teams to do things they don't want to, e.g. they'll need to keep more blockers in to protect the quarterback. I don't think 3 WR sets are going to be kind to teams. I don't think we'll have to worry as much about tight ends this year either.
