Another RB to consider is Ka'Deem Carey

Last years 4th round pick of the Bears who only got 36 carriers his rookie year, and now the new regime brought in Jaquizz and drafted Langford. Despite only the 36 carries he did manage a very solid 158 yards showing the same great vision and downhill running style that made him great at Arizona.

So basically what I'm trying to get at is that THIS is the type of RB we should be targeting instead of washed up guys like CJ. I'm sure if we offered the Bears a conditional late pick right now we could bring this kid in to compete for the #1 job.

They have decided to not yet extend Forte (this is his last year) and they just went BPA when they took Langford in the mid rounds.
Carey may very well be their future #1

Otherwise, I think most of us around here would like to have him at low or no cost, to compete.
Just remember....he is as proven as Randle is.

Without knowing, I would guess quite a few NFL teams have a similar rb on their roster, facing very similar situation such as this guy, so...

Being a U or A fan and Kadeem having graduated at High school where my son's youth football team practices, this is same RB that tore through Oregon's defense for 205 yards in 2013, his last two years in college he rushed for he rushed for 1900 and 1880 yrds respectively. He's built like a tank, not a burner since he ran the 40 only in the 4.6 range. He did play against tough UCLA, Stanford and Oregon defenses so he's no slouch.

The most intriguing back who has been mentioned is Lamar Miller in Miami. Of course I have heard nothing that makes me think he would be available.

The rest just seem like guys who are have about as good of a chance as the guys we already have.

At this point I see us living or dying with our committee of Randle, McFadden and Dunbar.

So Randle is not that good but bring in someone with less track record that may be better.

Unless Ajayi blows away scouts and leapfrogs RB2 to RB1 Miller is the lad back in Miami.

Langford was a guy I really wanted
I felt he was the perfect back for us
But that didn't happen and unless there is an injury to one of the 3 we have I don't see any RB being brought in anytime soon
Randle is going to get a shot as the starter and they think Dunbar and Dmac fit well behind him so till one of them proves them wrong or gets injured I don't see us bringing in anyone
The only thing that could change that other than injury is a PROVEN and not over the hill back gets cut and that is not likely to happen

Competition. If randle beats him out then great. Now we have 2 talented young backs. We need another back in the mix and the odds of getting a guy in here that has a track record at this point are getting pretty slim. Counting on McFadden and Dunbar for 16 games as our only insurance options to Randle is crazy in my opinion. Carey is a former stud at a major university who was just a 4th round pick that also happens to have a running style that suits our system. Why would we not be interested if he's available?

How is this guy any better than Randle?

This topic isn't even a dead horse at this point. It's a mutilated, squashed, mush of what was once a dead horse.

Basically every young running back in the league qualifies for a thread like this right now. It's becoming exhausting.

Can't wait for week 1.

The more names I hear the more I like what we have. None of these guys are gonna be any better than Joseph Randle and there's a good chance McFadden is just a good option as the next.

Competition???? You are talking about a guy they may end being a cast off or buried on another teams depth chart. Being a former stud at major college does not make you anything, it gets you a look but the list is long and distinguished of major college studs that ended up being major NFL duds. I would almost say being major college stud running back is almost the kiss of death in the NFL.

Have you ever watched Ka'Deem Carey play?

Apparently, Darren McFadden was dominating one-on-one drills today.
