Looking at these coaching salaries, we know Jerry and Stephen not spending these kind of dollars for coaches... they are too cheap.

1. Andy Reid -20M a year
2. Sean Payton-18m a year
3. Mike Tomlin- 16m a year
4. Jim Harbaugh-16m a year
5. Sean McVay- 15m a year
6. Kyle Shanahan- 14m a year
7. John Harbaugh-12m a year
8. Dan Campbell- 11m a year
9. Sean McDermott- 11m a year
10. Mike MacDonald 9 m a year

MM was tied at 4m a year at number 16.
Jerry loves to pretend “he would write any check to win another championship” but then refuses to pay for top shelf coaching staffs and the Cowboys are regularly near the bottom of the league in cash spend on free agents.

We all know that winning big is something that he would be happy to luck into, but he will never do anything to make it his #1 priority.

It's crazy because there are no salary cap on coaches. If you want to win how about get and pay the best guys. Instead we shop for coaches like we do free agents and wonder why we can't even sniff the NFC Championship game let alone a Superbowl.
right one of the only advantages of being so rich in the salary cap era, and wouldn't ya know... smh

Yep.

So we’re expecting a great head coach to come here for LESS MONEY, put up with the most meddlesome owner in sports, work in the circus environment of the zoo, er I mean the star, with it crystal clear this owner does not value coaches….Just don’t see that happening.

Let’s all get ready to welcome Doug Pederson as the next head coach.

Available? Check
Won a SB? Check
Offensive Coach? Check
Will work for cheap? Check
Will do whatever Jerry Says? Check

Kill me now.
Actually he is probably a dark horse. Didn’t think of him but he certainly checks all that Jerry boxes….

It's not just money. Remember the mission statement with this team is not winning a championship. It is winning only if Jerry gets the credit.

Bringing in a high priced, big name coach is completely contrary to that mission. Even if they do win the media spin will be "Coach So-And-So came in and turned around the Cowboys after 30 years of futility."

Unacceptable to our circus barker narcissist GM.

Love the “mission statement” you have here because that is exactly correct. ”We want to win only IF our beloved leader Jerry Jones gets the credit”.

I mean all of that is what we have now. Each won a Super Bowl and then followed it up with nothing. Went to another team and also accomplished nothing. One in the same.

But yeah, this is all we seek out because they are cheap and in a place in their career where they will put up with Jerry because it's a check. No coach worth anything is coming here to deal with Jerry,

Just saw Slater on NFLN say that Jerry said that he “won’t overpay for a coach.”

Some of you probably heard that already but I missed it.

I mean, come on here. What exactly does this guy expect, and WHY would you pay a QB SIXTY million a year only to cheap out on scheme and leadership??

Beyond dumb.
He’s the HC the guy on the field is paid 5 million a year to carry out JJ wishes, say yes Jerry and keep saying I’m a winner. It’s a good job if you can get it, free buffet, no accountability, what do you folks want for 5 million a year

Gruden also checks every box. I think that could very well be the direction Jerry goes in.

Yep.

The cap fear is mostly BS, but lets just say it was real. Wouldn't a smart organization say ok we are a little limited in FA, but we are going to leave no stoned unturned in our coaching staff and scouting staff. We will find and pay the best money can get. But they don't do it. They handle it like a small business. The Jones Clan and then mostly B or C level guys....with the occasional gem.

The worlds most valuable sports franchise. Always goes super cheap on the coach staff.

Makes ZERO sense to me. Just one more reason not to listen to anything Jerry says about winning.
Yep, Jerry can't stomach another Jimmy situation where we win SB's and someone other than Jerry gets the credit.

Jerry bought the Cowboys so he could play fantasy football with a real team. Fortunately for us, Jerry was busy the first few years with the business side of the organization and trying to learn the ropes while Jimmy built a multi-SB winning team. Unfortunately Jerry is an imbecile and we haven't sniffed a championship since '95.

Doesn't Jerry say every year that he would pay anything to win? Except quality coaching I guess? Everything he says is basically just diarrhea of the mouth.

well that is a pretty accurate checklist, but Jerry will tell you your order of priority is completely backwards.
