Another safety hits the market

is it a possibility that since he was at least 'ok' in college
that maybe the Raiders did a **** job coaching him?
maybe he didn't fit the scheme they were trying him at?

idk I'm just curious
maybe he's a turd
or maybe he's more of a David Irving

Not my money -and not that much either. What is the risk of taking a chance here? If not healthly, put him on IR and we get next offseason to check him out.

Sad but true (cue Metallica), although there’d be no shortage of hand wringers, no matter who we signed, ET included.

They sign Thomas, and people would celebrate, screaming championship. Of course that activates the “Overspend for a Declining Star Crowd”.

There’s no win here. Besides, Fredbeard’s Out, Martin’s out, Dak sucks, we have no WRs, Tyron has a bad back, Gregory’s a pothead waiting to happen, and it’s only a matter of time before our glass LBer(s) patrol the sidelines with a clipboard. We’re doomed. The Fat Lady’s warming up, but we’ve got alternatives: AGT’s live shows and Deadpool 2 on DVD! Yes!

So basically the worst case scenario for everything lol.

Man, I got no problem admitting that I was intrigued with him during the draft. I thought he had a lot of potential. Forgot about him until now. If the FO wants to give him a shot I don't see reason to be against it, but I wouldn't rely on him.

"Melifonwu has missed most of training camp due to a hip injury. He just hasn’t been able to stay healthy during his time in the NFL. If he clears waivers, Melifonwu will be placed on the team’s injured reserve list."
Seems to be trending lately, or maybe Im just paying closer attention.
Sua Cravens, drafted by the Skins in the 2nd round a couple yrs ago, never got on the field, always an injury. Now with Denver after they traded for him this offseason, and pulling the same stunt. Been injured all camp.
Is there a new wave of highly drafted young talent entering this league that could care less about ever playing, they just want the quick cash?
Just seems that I have been noticing this a lot lately.

WOW

6 pages trying to decide whether to pay a guy 700k to NOT play because he is injured and wasn't any good when healthy

CZ never ceases to amaze

If he is passionate, beats his girlfriend and flips gracefully over a bike's handlebars, he's in with me.
