Another Safety? Trade!

hes going to want to get paid, i wouldn't mind but how are his coverage skills? He will be in the situation Sharper was 3 years ago imo....wouldn't mind a 2 yr deal maybe even a 1

is he even available? He should be because that team is horrible...but it might take a good bit to get their second best player.

He'll be 32 next season. Do we really want to trade for a 32-year-old strong safety?

You of all people would know for sure, but I seem to remember his coverage metrics not being very good. I could be wrong though, because I'm thinking back about 3-4 years ago.

Whats that site where you can go on and check all and I mean all stats? And it ranks players? ProFootballFocus?

we'll see him cover Jason Wit this weekend, lol, he has his hands full so i don't think we'll be able to scout very well lol

How about trading for Adrian Wilson from Arizona?

No way!! he is washed upped, worse then what we have. Trust me, I live in az and get to see it. The fans love him here but understand he is done and want him gone

He is on the wrong side of 30 and his best days are behind him. Still a decent Box safety but we need a ballhawk.

At what point does HGH start to lose it's effectiveness?

and he has never been able to cover tight ends and each team in the NFC East has a decent Tight End. He is worthless

Should be an easy job since I've been told that Witten only runs 7 yard curl routes, never runs past the first down marker and can't break tackles.

I would love a quality safety but I think Hamlin and Roy burned Jerry so bad that he won't pay up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Alan Ball again next year.

This is my fear as well.

I can guarantee you Ball won't be the starter next year. Guarantee.

I think I recall reading it from KC Joyner awhile back.

I don't like trades so much. Besides, along with a good draft, there will be some nice FAs coming up next year that we could potentially grab to shore up our secondary:

FA Corners

Antonio Cromartie - prob stay w/ the Jets
Champ Bailey - old
Carlos Rogers - good player
Johnathan Joseph - good player
Eric Wright - great player
Fabian Washington - good player
Richard Marshall - good pass defender
Michael Adams - maybe good

FA Safeties

Quintin Mikell - awesome, will stay in Philly most likely
Bernard Pollard - ok player
Darren Sharper - old
Eric Weddle - could be a great pickup
Chinedum Ndukwe - good player
Danieal Manning - also a good kick returner
Roy Williams - been there, no thanks

I don't see Ball as the starting FS next season.

I definitely think that FS and OL will be targeted in FA.
