Another Safety? Trade!

He'll be 32 next season. Do we really want to trade for a 32-year-old strong safety?

No Adam, I don't think that would be a wise idea.

I don't like trades so much. Besides, along with a good draft, there will be some nice FAs coming up next year that we could potentially grab to shore up our secondary:

FA Corners

Antonio Cromartie - prob stay w/ the Jets
Champ Bailey - old
Carlos Rogers - good player
Johnathan Joseph - good player
Eric Wright - great player
Fabian Washington - good player
Richard Marshall - good pass defender
Michael Adams - maybe good

FA Safeties

Quintin Mikell - awesome, will stay in Philly most likely
Bernard Pollard - ok player
Darren Sharper - old
Eric Weddle - could be a great pickup
Chinedum Ndukwe - good player
Danieal Manning - also a good kick returner
Roy Williams - been there, no thanks

Weddle was my pet cat in the 07 draft. I really liked that kid. I seriously doubt San Diego lets him get away but who knows?

How about aquiring someone with the ability to choose Free Agents?

Right. And develop our own young players. Why is everyone so trade happy. You do not make a team with trades.

I would love to get Jonathon Joseph. He is one of the more underrated corners in the NFL.

None of those safeties really tickle my fancy though.
