Another Year, Same Exact Garbage

This thread is lame. Read the room. This team and coaching staff is evolving and it's just the beginning of the offseason. Can we get to the draft? Training camp before this tired rhetoric?
This is the same theme from year to year. Just wait, "Jerry said it's all going to turn around this year". To sum it all up, 30 years later and we're still waiting

Really?? So, we should judge the whole entire offseason and make wholesale ridiculous comments on the failure of the 2026 football season on day one a free agency before we see anything else that resembles what the team's going to look like in September..

So I'm sorry that we actually are people who might want to wait and see how things work out, like the run game last year, everyone said this about Javonte Williams was washed and a cheap move, comparing him to like Gary and the safety we just picked up in Thompson,

I mean they were saying that we were going to be the worst run game in the NFL.

So, to all you miserable fans who said that, you were wrong.

I'm not sure how drinking a Kool Aid is simply saying I'll wait and see what the team really looks like before I make a judgment, instead of being completely negative,

as if the whole season is already lost, day one a free agency..

How About this word it a different way,

don't come on here ranting like the original poster did, for one he shouldn't be a Cowboys fan, he shouldn't be spending extra time, if he knows exactly what's coming ,

But he wants to come in here and vent and complain!!

But he could have just wrote his concern that so far this offseason it it looks like business as usual, that's it!!!

Did NOT need a whole rant, but since he did, you're going to get our replies as well, and that would be fans with a little bit more patience,

I don't care about 30 years ago or even last year,

The wait and see crowd ARE not drinking a Kool Aid, I don't see any post claiming the Cowboys were going to the Super Bowl this year..

I didnt see a single post that says we're gonna have a 14 win season I don't see any Kool Aid drinking in here all I see is people saying calm down because the original poster is some of you are spiraling on day one a free agency because you didn't get your way you kick and scream like toddlers...
Some of these people last year knew what was coming.

I am assuming you werent one of them.

“Everyone that’s in Free Agency has flaws or else they would not be a free agent,”

That’s not completely accurate. Yes, everyone that’s in Free Agency has flaws, but not because they’re a free agent. They have flaws simply because they’re human and we all have flaws. Second, they are in Free Agency simply because their contract has expired.

Well said Mr. Blue.

None of us did if we’re being honest. Simple fact is none of us knew. There’s so much more that goes into a successful season from the top all the way down to those who clean the jock straps. The players are the most important piece. And each one is as different as God made all of us. And then the social effect of how they were born and raised. Some are really bad. So it’s a mental game and you sitting up on your high horse, nor me have no idea how the season is going to turn out. But to crap on it like you do? Dude…..

Oh we called it. We knew the defense wasn’t going to be good last year because we study the game and saw that their plan would never work.

You all are so blinded by your cowboys coloured glasses that you can’t see it. Then you make comments like Murray had a good year and it shows everyone why you couldn’t see it. You choose not to.

No one is on a high horse. Stop saying that. It’s the reality of what the FO did last season.

Yeah that might be true and that's cool and I get the frustration so far this offseason they lost out on Dean and Crosby and really wanted and went after them but that's not on them they did make the effort now they have to kind of regroup and figure out what other players they want that are still out there or that they can trade for and September is a long ways from now along with the draft too like they act like we're not gonna get anybody in the draft that can be any good day one and that's not true CD lamb and Parsons were both really good day one..

I think they're far from finished I think the second wave will happen soon..

Not guaranteeing a good season or a bad season right now I'm just wait and see this is a very long offseason Like 7 months before game one almost exactly I mean that's a long way from now to be already declaring a bad year..

My opinion, i'm looking at that list of linebackers left and I know Bobby Wagner's long in the tooth, Oreke seems like he might be a good fit, but really greenlaw and I mean I'm no expet, but Greenlaw was a better player as far as his career so far, and both him and Dean are both injury prone,

I sure about this moment in time which one is better, but I really don't think the talent gap is that big, that you could still go get that guy.
We finally have a group of men on the defensive line, if we could get two, outside linebackers. I actually like the kid we have on the squad already from Notre Dame. He was never used properly. He’s an outside linebacker.

The way I see it, our defense is already better than it was when the season ended. Had we had a mediocre defense last year, we would have made a deep run into the playoffs.

We had the 32nd ranked defense last year. We're already better and that's before the draft and June 1st cuts.
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao2:

keep dreaming

All this talk about signing big name free agents and spending big money is a complete lie yet again. It’s actually amazing how every single year we have to deal with this.

It’s the same playbook as always - a complete head scratching trade and signing a bunch of mid to low tier guys. Our biggest signing, Gary, arguably isn’t even an improvement over Clowney and is not cheap whatsoever. I mean you could have spent just a bit more (and not given up a 4th) and got Hendrickson. GB couldn’t wait to get rid of Gary, I couldn’t even imagine how they could contain themselves when Dallas called to offer a 4th lol.

I don’t see how we have improved our defense. People thinking that a new D Coordinator alone is going to do much for the defense are delusional. I’m not sure how fans are happy about free agency so far? Very few draft picks and almost forced to take LB now. Better hit home runs on both first round picks.
even if the draft is great this year it still will not help this defense this season. we need two great drafts of great defensive players to fix this defense.

Some people did.

I'm sorry it's been 31 years, we will end up exactly where we all know we will. nothing about this team changes.
Ok cool. So since you know that, you can go ahead and ignore all the Cowboys games this year and do something else on Sundays, Monday and Thursday nights right?

As a matter of fact, why are you here? According to you nothing is changed or will change so why are you wasting your precious time posting on the Dallas Cowboys board?

They operate like the 7-10, not won a thing in 30 years, team that they are.

It’s time to accept that.

I think fans that buy tickets to Cowboys games should get a nice pat on the head from Jerry with every purchase.
Agreed. 3 decades is more than enough behavioral history to know that the Joneses don't value SB victories. They value the money above all.
