He's only worth a sixth rounder because his contract is not friendly.

The Niners have a tom of draft picks and a bunch of cap room, too.

He did not look that old when he was making some game changing plays in the post season.

Naw he didn't but all it takes is a offseason to go from all-world to pedestrian. I've seen it and it happens every season. That being said, if they get Boldin that was in the playoffs that's a nice piece. Boldin was incredible in the post season.

The compensation is probably so low because it's known around the league they tried to restructure his contract and he was unwilling to do so. Resulting in rumors that he'd be released before free agency began and the Ravens could be under the cap.

:hammer:

Ravens weren't going to pay him, so better to trade him and get at least something than cut him for nothing.

They couldn't restructure, there was only one year left. They could have extended him to lower the cap hit. The current six million cap hit isn't bad either for a wr of his caliber.

He was the leading reciever on the Ravens squad..thats gotta hurt..getting a game changer like him for a 6th isn't too bad..but you're gonna have to pay him in a few yrs as well...

Boldin going for back to back lombardis!!! For sure a a better chance then staying on the ravens. 49ers and seahawks will be awesome this year. Most likely one of these 2 will represent the nfc. Most likely seattle.

I think this hurts the Ravens more than it helps SF. Boldin was the key to getting the most out of Flacco in the playoffs. I wouldn't have dumped him for a 6th round pick trying to defend a Super Bowl. Flacco's cap hits don't get bad until next year and Boldin only had one year left.

You mean it won't be the Cowboys? Don't you ever get tired of being a pessimist? :lmao:

Didn't SF just use their 1st rd pick on some WR in last year's draft. Did he even catch one pass the whole year? And they also signed Manningham in FA who didn't do squat. And they signed Moss who ended up a shell of his former self. Now SF's front office goes out and pays $6M plus a 6th rd pick for an old WR in Boldin.

OK:)

And if you (or anyone else) could predict that accurately, you'd be making a ton of money as a prognosticator.

Boldin has the advantage of being a guy who's worked his butt off since he was a rookie. Whatever his physical status may be, he'll still be working harder than a bunch of guys on your roster.

As @RavensInsider insider reported, WR Anquan Boldin traded to 49ers for a sixth-round pick. WRs piling up in NFC West.

I guess John wants to make sure his brother gets a Super Bowl, too. ;)
