Lol the utah jazz will win the nba title before the cowboys ever host a lombardi again.

They couldn't restructure, there was only one year left. They could have extended him to lower the cap hit. The current six million cap hit isn't bad either for a wr of his caliber.

Jerry would have extended and restructured and kept him.

The Cowboys go 8-8 back to back years. The Ravens go the AFC CHampionship both of those years and win the SB this year.

Im guessing the Ravens made the right call based on their track record.

And the Seabags gave up a boatload for Harvin . . . . . . . . . . . .

Harvin's worth it if he's healthy. He's a dynamic playmaker and really versatile. He's best in the slot, but can also line up outside, and with Seattle's zone-read offense, I bet he runs it out of the backfield around 5 times a game too. He's also one of the best kick returners in the game. He's automatically the Seahawks bes receiver right now. IF he's healthy, he's a game changer and worth the 1st round pick and mid-round pick next year imo.

Didn't SF just use their 1st rd pick on some WR in last year's draft. Did he even catch one pass the whole year? And they also signed Manningham in FA who didn't do squat. And they signed Moss who ended up a shell of his former self. Now SF's front office goes out and pays $6M plus a 6th rd pick for an old WR in Boldin.

OK:)

Wow I completely had forgotten that Manningham was on the 9ers...

"IF"

If he can stay healthy.

If he doesnt have a migraine.

If his head case issues are under control.

"IF" he is a game changer that a team can count on - why would the Vikes let him go for such a pittance of picks?

Great pick up for the 49ers but Baltimore got something for him considering they were going to cut him...

OK:)

And they also benched their starting QB due to injury in the middle of the year and still went to the SB.....

As @RavensInsider insider reported, WR Anquan Boldin traded to 49ers for a sixth-round pick. WRs piling up in NFC West.

amazing value trade for 49ers.

No, he didn't. It was a bad trade, but it wasn't two 1st rounders bad. It was a 1st, 3rd and 6th in 2009 and a 7th in 2010.

Makes us feel better. Maybe he meant the Joey Galloway trade...ahh good times.

Make up your mind regarding your Harvin hatred. Did the Hawks give up a boatload or did the Vikes get a pittance? LOL. As I said earlier, he only missed 3 games his first 3 years and his numbers have been excellent until last years real injury..his first. Considering the MVP said he was the best player he had ever played with I think he has the backing of teammates too. Make up your mind when your spinning.

Wow! Just a 6th rounder?

I was saying the same thing. I think the 9ers got a steal. I'd love to see the 9ers go back to the Super Bowl to LOSE again. Seeing them lose one was really sweet. It ended the "We've won every Super Bowl we've gone to" BS.

NFL's salary system needs to be revamped. The system is broken when you have no choice but to waive players that helped you win a SB for cap reasons. They need to dump the guaranteed money already. Flacco cap hit is going to be almost 30 million in a few years so of course theyll either restructure or just waive him if he stinks. The $121 mil is so deceiving to casual fans.

The 49ers benefited from a little brotherly collusion. Seriously, Baltimore was going to cut him so a 6th round pick is about right.

They didn't have to trade him. Flacco's cap hit is only 6.8m this year and Boldin only had one year left. Playing hardball with the arguable SB MVP wasn't smart. Granted they have other players to sign, Ellerbe, Williams, McKinnie and Kruger but Boldin was the key to getting the most out of Flacco.
