Good for him. Obviously, the team believes in him.

Wonder if they are planning any other FA moves (Brandon Moore). I thought he was coming in for a visit.

Armstrong is for ST only. Probably won't make the final cut.

Or the kid from Cincy. Either one of those players added to the roster would truly allow the Cowboys to pick the BPA with their #1.

His first year in the league he looked like a pretty decent deep threat. Since then, hasn't done much though. I'd probably rather see Harris/Beasley/Coale anyway.

He has speed and some ability but he is the kind of player that if he makes your roster you are always looking to upgrade. He has been able to stick with a few teams with below average WR corps because of his speed but has been pushed out when the teams decided to draft and/or sign wrs. He has a chance to stick but will probably have to beat out Danny Coale. If Dallas drafts a WR before the 6th round, he probably doesn't have a chance.

I see him as 1 of 80 going to camp, he will have training camp to prove himself. I only care about getting the job done if he can show development in his play then great if not then he will become a roster cut. Nothing to get worked up over.

I've seen him play, did some plays against us when he was with the Commanders and was unstoppable playing for the desperados, speed kills.

I hated to see the Cowboys let him go recently. I'm glad he is back. Now make me even happier and go get LB Adrian Hamilton back.

No 'Championship!' yet? I'm offended and disappointed with the board.

Losing Hamilton was a terrible development last year – especially in light of our switch back to 4-3. He would have an excellent career at 4-3 end, I think...just has some developing to do in the run game...

How would playing DE help Hamilton vs playing OLB in a 3-4?

Playing the run is generally more difficult at DE then at OLB.

The rap I have seen on Armstrong is that he has poor hands. Not a reliable target. Until that gets squared away, I'm not going to be too enthused.

My point was that he is a ridiculously good pass rusher at DE but needs to develop in the run game. He wasn't a good fit at OLB because of inexperience in coverage, etc., but B-more will get the best out of him eventually. I bet if we knew we were switching to a 4-3 last year we would have kept him...
