He can’t play the ball in the air at all. On either of those long passes thrown his way, Diggs would have made an easy interception. With Brown’s inability to make a play on the ball, there’s no downside to taking a deep shot against him. Either the pass is caught, it’s incomplete, or he draws a pass interference penalty. I like Brown, but if I’m the front office, this is a position I would like to upgrade this off-season. As it is, I’d like a safety to help on his side and leave Diggs on an island.

The first one especially bad. Even had it not been caught it was going to hit him right on top of his helmet. Great positioning but had no idea where the ball was.
If you're referring to the one at about the 5 yard line, he was looking right at it, but still didn't make a play on it, as the receiver high pointed it. Should've been easy to break up. All he had to do is put his hand up between the WR's arms.

He's gonna be taken long 3-4 times a game. GB did it, Minny tried it but didn't have success that I remember, NY did it today. That's how LV beat us last year. He needs help for sure. Make no mistake the staff knows he's a liability.

I would give him safety support every single play and live with whatever the outcome is if they decide to test Diggs on the other side. Brown cannot be trusted.

He is definitely the weak link in the secondary. Not sure what it's going to take for the staff to teach him to play the ball, or, I'm sure they have and maybe he just doesn't have it in him. We have to be ready for teams to test him though. He's been solid for a 6th round CB, but you can't trust him to make a play.

Whoever plays opposite of Diggs will have a target on his back.

I was coming on this forum and thinking about making a Diggs post. For those of us old enough to remember, Diggs is getting the Deion treatment. QB's aren't even looking at his side of the field at this point. The flip side of that was always that the CB opposite him got "picked on" relentlessly and we are seeing that now.

The old Deion system was to leave him on an island and roll deep help over the other CB. Out of Dallas' last few games, it seems that most of the TD's were given up on long passes to the non Diggs side of the field. I wonder when the Cowboys adjust.
