At this point brown is a lost cause his ball skills are atrocious. The first deep pass was in the air for what seemed like 10 sec and he still couldn’t make a play on it. I mean come on man. Special teams is where he needs to be.

For a 5th round pick,I think he's done a pretty good job...is he great,no..but he's not terrible either,imo
No he is terrible. Dude is a liability. You can’t have a guy like this on a defense this good. I’d rather play a bigger CB and have him play physical at the LOS and risk the deep pass 75-80% of the time. With this pass rush.

No duh. Who in the right mind would target Diggs?
I would target him and score lots of points and TDs and rack up the yardage because Diggs allowed the most yards for any corner in the entire NFL last year and was rated as the worst CB in the league on PFF last year.

I was coming on this forum and thinking about making a Diggs post. For those of us old enough to remember, Diggs is getting the Deion treatment. QB's aren't even looking at his side of the field at this point. The flip side of that was always that the CB opposite him got "picked on" relentlessly and we are seeing that now.

The old Deion system was to leave him on an island and roll deep help over the other CB. Out of Dallas' last few games, it seems that most of the TD's were given up on long passes to the non Diggs side of the field. I wonder when the Cowboys adjust.
According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Diggs is the worst corner in football.

He can’t play the ball in the air at all. On either of those long passes thrown his way, Diggs would have made an easy interception. With Brown’s inability to make a play on the ball, there’s no downside to taking a deep shot against him. Either the pass is caught, it’s incomplete, or he draws a pass interference penalty. I like Brown, but if I’m the front office, this is a position I would like to upgrade this off-season. As it is, I’d like a safety to help on his side and leave Diggs on an island.
We need to find another corner who can makes plays. Brown is in position a lot but can’t make plays.

He may get burned for big plays but if he had an ounce of ball skills he would actually be pretty decent. Seems to get himself into great postion but lacks the go get it factor.

Like flail your arms or some **** when you have the position. This isn't HS or college ball when you will win majority of the time with great postion.

Last year. Not this year. Time to move on from that stat page.

Bossman kinda proved otherwise. But I’d try someone else. At least they have a shot at a pick on bad throws?
I’d take a shot with Kearse or someone bigger outside on obvious passing downs. Maybe give #33 a go maybe Bland.

Last year Brown had an excellent year. This one has been more up and down but that is the life of a corner. This year we've found him missing some tackles and at times losing the ball in the air. For example he was in a good spot to make a play on the 40 yard pass today but made no play. Felt like that should have been an INT or atleast broken up.

Personally I think he's at his best as a slot corner, but when asking him to play outside is where things go up and down.

They were going to give Joseph more snaps last game. I wonder if he might improve enough with a few starts under his belt to challenge Brown for the position.

Offensive interference on the one long reception against Brown. The WR just wrapped his arms around Brown and pulled him to the side.

AB is a good player. 5th round draft pick and has improved each year he has been on the team. You need players like this who are serviceable on a reasonable contract.

He does have a target on his back and because of this, Hooker has to be better.

When a person is running really really fast they can't jump as high.
In most jump ball situations the shortest guy is going to lose.

Brown has been good everywhere else except of the go routes. He'll lose on a jump ball go route all day. That's why some DC's go out and get the bigger CB's. But I'd still love to have Brown back next year as a slot CB. He's not as bad as some make him out to be.
