So the best you can say is he was above average? And you will take that as a starter any day? LOL
Maybe its just me, but Ill take the guy that is great corner most weeks and then a good corner on just a few weeks.
Some people just have low standards I guess. How many SB's are we going to win with just above average starters?
IN other years when the pass rush wasnt as good, Brown has gotten completely toasted on a regular basis.
He single handily lost the Oakland game for us. Brown completely torched him in the Bucs opener.
Just think, you can have your dream secondary with Brown, Jones, Heath and Barry Church. And I will even throw in Jaylon Smith on the side as one of your linebackers. You should be tickled pink over that kind of talent.
Can’t have 11 stars man sorry to break it to ya. I’ll take an above average starter any day of the week when he’s not the 1 at his position. We have our star corner his name is Diggs.
He had two bad games out of 17, that’s a normal amount of bad games to have in a season. Anyone not named Zack Martin and Micah Parsons had at least 1 or 2 bad games last year.
If your #2’s are above average and have these types of metrics then you have a good team brother. Anthony Brown could be upgraded yes but that upgrade would be a pro-bowler. If Joseph becomes that then great, but you can’t be calling an above average starter at a #2 spot “the weakest link”.
Counting the slot as a starter, dude would be a starting outside CB or slot CB for 29/30 teams in this league. Rarely do you see teams with 3 pro-bowl corners on one team and I do not see any this upcoming year, but maybe I’m missing one.
Bottom line is if he plays like an above average corner we are at least solid at CB. Remember he did make what should have been the game winning pick versus San Fran. Gave the O the ball back with 4 mins and 2 timeouts.
