I did not know that. I knew he was physical but I didn't know he was also this fast. I was worried about our secondary vs the likes of D-Jax, OBJ, Aug Jeffers, Jordy, and other stud receivers on our schedule. We haven't given up a 100-yard receiver yet. AB is a big reason. Now I see why. He's physical: 5'11/192lbs and he's fast: 4.35 forty. Great great draft pick who will only get better with experience.

Yeah I completely overlooked the pick because the front office's track record of drafting DB's on day 3 is terrible. Ahmad Dixon, Terrance Mitchell, BW Webb, Matt Johnson, Josh Thomas, AOA, Jamar Wall, Deangelo Smith, Michael Hamlin, Mike Mickens....gross.

Scandrick in '08 is the last time we hit on a DB late.

Brown is for real though. He's earned himself a starting position next year, either in the slot or outside.

I kind of felt the same way. We seem to hit on one once in the blue moon, so I didn't have my hopes very high.

Probably was terrible because most of those guys were 7th rounders.

What are the odds of any day 3 DB sticking?
Yeah, showing a team that consistently hits on Day 3 defensive backs would make that argument. Of course, no one does it. Lots of teams have trouble hitting on successful Day 1 and 2 defensive backs. You bid on potential, and then see what happens.

Looks like Brown may be a big hit. Will be interesting to see how many snaps he gets now that Scandrick is back.

Cowboys had a 3rd round grade on him, so they we happy he was there in the 6th

He was the fastest and the best cover corner in this years draft. Dallas was surprised that he was still on the board when they selected him.

I don't know which one is worse, matt Johnson or AOA.... Probably Matt Johnson. Ugh that whole hype train on his potential disgusted me.... That plus I know a lot of people who went to HS with AOA

Based on college production? Naw.

I read a stat that said he allowed 17 touchdowns in his last 3 seasons at Purdue. Also had 6 PI's his senior year.

Based on raw talent. What I said came from the Cowboys FO - not me. He was by far the fastest and best cover corner in this years draft. Thats what I read the Cowboys said about him.

They said he was by far the best cover corner, and waiting until the 6th round to grab him? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Yeah I also wonder if they had a third round grade on him why did they wait until the 6th to get him I wonder. Unless I'm led to believe they had everyone who was drafted in front of him with a 1st to 3rd round grade.
