You'd think this guy was Claiborne, Joseph or another bust the way some dog on him.

He was a solid #2, drafted late in the draft and was never overpaid.
Sure he had some warts in his game, but so do a majority of corners in the league.
Agreed. You cannot complain about his play (outside of the Raiders game.)

I am unsure he is at 100% yet, but SF is a great spot to land.

Have you forgotten the Tampa Bay game, and how Brady knew where to throw it?

Solid depth if nothing else, you can never have too many cornerbacks, or so I've heard.

Yall trip on AB. He's a solid corner and some act like his entire career was the Raiders game where half the calls were trash anyway.

Hes not a star, but he's a very good role player IF that Achilles doesn't tank him.
No Iies told. That LV game honestly was as closed to fixed as I've ever seen. Cost us playoff seeding big time.

As for AB, I wish him well but not really as a 49er? I wish him good health.

Pretty sure it was Thanksgiving too. We were jobbed. I did blame our coaches and players for not adjusting to how the game was being called but at the end of the day all AB had to do was look at a pass catcher side ways and the flags were en route.

He will cover us perfectly and fail to make the interception.

Brown was a very good slot corner that consistently beat out Jourdan Lewis. Lewis was only elevated when Brown moved outside. Brown’s biggest liability on the outside was ball awareness. He could stick to the receiver like glue, but receivers still caught the ball over the top of him because he wasn’t often aware of where the ball might be.

If the 49ers move Brown back inside, he is still an above average slot corner in the NFL, if, and this is a big if, he hasn’t lost any speed or mobility because of his Achilles injury. At the very least, he can be a quality backup for all three CB positions in case someone gets injured.

I never understood the lack of appreciation by some fans for Brown. He was always a quality DB, even if he wasn’t a top tier player. If his Achilles tendon his truly healed up, this is a quality signing by the Niners for depth in the defensive secondary.

They signed him for insider knowledge of our defense.
According to Jesse Holley and Isaiah Stanback that is not how it works. I'm going to take their word for it.

Besides, they beat Dallas in back to back years without this "insider" knowledge.
