Alan Ball couldn't even transition within the secondary. What makes you think a 6'2", 215lb safety can play middle linebacker? Please detail your argument in full.

It was tongue-in-cheek.

Calm down, superman.

I would love for them to throw one of the pups to the wolves. I mean unless they show total and complete ineptitude then bring in a vet. On the field training will make them better in the long run,

There were many mocks around here with Telvin Smith in the 2nd round. He ended up in the 5th.

I think it's safe to say that he was overrated by CZ members.

I had him in the 4th, most I saw was in the 3rd, didn't see him in the second after the combine.

Could we really go into the season with Anthony Hitches as the opening day starter vs the 49ers. I do recall someone betting Anthony Hitchens start at MLB the first game next year. Stay tuned.

Hope the kid can learn to play MLB quick. Went from special teams coach pounding the table for him in the 4th round for special teams to getting a chance to start.

Might not be a bad idea to try and sign a veteran like Vilma, but that would be way 2 logical...

It's not logical cos Vilma sucks... and has sucked for several years.

Here are his PFF ratings since 2007...

2007 -16.5
2008 -3.0
2009 -5.2
2010 -25.5 (yeah you read that right)
2011 -24.4
2012 -6.3 as a part-timer
2013 -1.4 in 12 snaps

Folks need to stop looking a names and thinking the "names" are better than what the Cowboys currently have.

Vilma is the MLB version of Ernie Sims.

Sims was serviceable. My point is Hitchens this year will not be better then bringing in a veteran.
