how is this guy not the consensus number one receiver in the draft? When I watch game film (not highlights, game film) I can't really see a weakness? Maybe top end speed? Guy has unreal hands, route running is impeccable, YAC, unreal player. I see him going mid to late second in mosr most mocks. Problem is this garbage front office doesn't really value receivers who aren't 6'2 and 220 in the draft... has he come in for a visit?

I agree. He and DJ Moore are my favs in this draft... I am hopeful that the FO is changing it's tune on big/tall WRs. They dont fit as well in a RPO-based offense and in this new NFL where creating immediate separation within 5 yards is key.

He plays from the slot in a cheesy spread offense, so he almost always gets free releases off the line.

I like the player, but good slot receivers are 10x easier to find than good outside receivers. I'm taking Sutton and Moore over him just because they have the chance to develop into a lot more valuable players on the outside.

This kid fits our offense to a T IMO. Just as you pointed out, he's a nightmare for DBs to cover coz hands, quickness and route running. Most mocks seem to give him a 3rd round grade, some a 2nd. Only concern IMO can he play outside. Either way, I doubt he's high on our board coz height like you said but I'd have no problem using a 2nd.

The only reason it's OK, is that maybe all teams are under valuing him and we can get him later as I would really like to spend first couple picks on other positions.

I recently compared him to an OBJ type of a WR, I still feel the same about him.

You likely watched full game footage (broadcast video) or cut-ups from the broadcast. Game Film is the All-22 view that's also called coaches film. Fans don't have coaches film for college football.

There are basically 5 options:
Full Game Broadcast Footage
Broadcast Cut-ups (all snaps of a specific player)
Highlights
Full Game Coaches Film
Coaches Film Cut-ups (what scouts watch)

You likely only have access to the top 3.

How many drops does he have in this game?

POSITIVES

— Huge playmaker who tore up defenses after the catch.
— Has speed to take screens and slants for six.
— Tracks the ball well down the field and can stretch vertically.
— Routes are crisp, tight and clean.
— Can shake defenders at the line of scrimmage and beat jams with moves.
— Former walk-on who coaches love due to work ethic and competitiveness.

NEGATIVES

— Has an issue with bobbled passes and drops, especially short balls.
— Flagged for age at 24 years old.
— Scouts told us he's red-flagged medically from foot injury.
— Fumbles an issue throughout his career.
— Might be dependent on his scheme to get him open on inside routes.

OVERALL

Anthony Miller was one of the nation's most exciting players this season. He's fast, fiery and super productive. There will be those teams that can't get past his age or his foot injury, but if Miller is healthy he's an awesome fit as a slot receiver.

Smallish, SL not WO, injury problem, scheme helped pad stats, not fast. Compare him to St Brown ND who can play the X or Z. Metrics are great, great hands, huge catch radius, RZ threat up the ying yang, character, fast at 6-5 220.

Yes, Philly used smurf WRs to win last year

No WR in round one for me. Round two is a consideration depending on how the board shakes out.

I don't get why no one likes Ridley. He can come right in and contribute to this offense. If there are better prospects there than i'm fine with taking them. But if Ridley is the best player left on the board....you shouldn't' avoid him because you think you can get a guy in the 2nd round.

Is Ridley a guaranteed 2nd contract starter? I keep hearing he's more of a #2 WR.

Old and not really a game breaker IMO. Good number 2.
