Anthony Spencer looked better than expected

I saw him set the edge perfectly on a couple of running plays and force the ball carrier back inside

In 2009-2012 he was just outstanding at doing that. He got so very little credit on this board for that aspect of his game because it isn't a sack.

Also, if I remeber corectly... On a 3rd down key play that caused the saints to punt he got the guy out of bounds right before he made a first down after someone missed a tackle - I was suprised to see that it was Spencer down there, thought it would have been a safety or LB. I thought that Spencer played well for first game back.

I thought he did too............he was even field directing at the LOS pre-snap.

I saw him chase down a carrier from behind in the fourth and looked pretty quick.
