I think Spencer has outplayed Ware in recent weeks, and I don't mean that as any knock against Ware. He's been lights out, and I doubt there's any non-Cowboy outside linebacker outplaying him in the NFL.

I just think Spencer has been playing THAT well that you could argue he's outplayed the best player at their position in the league.

As long as those two are Cowboys (and are healthy), our defense will be alright.

I havent examined the game film or anything but IMO Spencer did more then Ware in this game. Actually I thought WAre was completely shut down.

Spencer is an absolute MONSTER! Better than Ware? You need your head examined for saying that.. I don't get some of you so called fans, why must you dog one person in order to prop up another. Spencer is benefiting from playing with D-Ware, he draws constant double teams.

I think he s trying to say hes a better all arond player than ware. IDK about that but he might be better against the run than Ware is!!

Man, this is going to sound like an excuse but I fear Ware hurt his neck again when he sacked favre early in the first quarter. He DISAPPEARED after that....hope to hell I'm wrong

BTW: Spencer and Jenkins are BALLERS. With Spence Ware and Rat on the line and Jenkins and Scandrick in the secondary: we just need some depth and more leadership at LB, Safety and NT. Defense is relatively set. (Spears, Hamlin, Carp probably will be gone IMO)

I dont agree 100% but he did struggle down the stretch and I still believe will 3 of our DE's FA's next year we would be better off getting a true 3-4 NTG and moving Rat outside.

Hey, gotta love Spencer's progression, but he's not better then Ware or Ratliff.

I think it's debatable with Ratliff...but he definitely benefits from the attention that Ware gets.

This is also coming off of the best game Spencer has ever played IMO. The guy was all over the field. He will need to do that consistently before I consider him better than Ware.

And for my money, he's not better than Ratliff. And Jenkins. And this coming from someone who defended Spencer ALL SEASON LONG and it didn't take sacks in the last half of the year for me to realize he was playing great. Spencer is a great player. Ware is better. Ratliff and Jenkins are about in the same level of play, I just consider what they do to be more important and difficult.

Do people even keep an eye on D-Ware during the games? He is NOT getting CONSTANT double-teams.

This is one reason why I have stated that I believe that there is more wrong with D-Ware than we are being told. It was over and over tonight where D-Ware was getting stoned with ONE GUY blocking him.

D-Ware is my favorite player on the D side of the ball, but watch the game and tell me if he is getting double-teamed on every down....in fact, there were entire series today where he didn't get doubled and he couldn't smell Favre.

This has been going on for a while. Do I think he's the best pass-rusher that we have? Yes. But at this point in time Spencer and D-Ware are pretty even and I think it is due to like I said....more being wrong with him than we know.

I'm sure they will re-play the game on the NFL network....watch specifically him (like I do during games).

I know one thing we learned this year. Spencer is be the best defensive player we have, and that's including Mr. Ware.

He is a freak out there. I am very stoked we have this guy!

Well I dont know if I would say that....he is becoming a very good player who should continue to get better.... DWare is the leader of the defence and when he goes so does the defence....

Hell, he had a ton wrong with him. Neck, arm, leg, he even jammed his neck pretty nasty on his sack early in the game. He was probably pieced together with spit and duct tape.

A lot of times an OLine can help a tackle without actually doubling him. They can more or less shift protection to the left so that the tackle needs to play outside technique and the guard takes away the inside. This should take away the speed rush and inside moves. So even though it's not technically a double team, the tackle only has one thing to worry about knowing that he has help inside.

I can't be sure of this since I don't really watch film, but I'd bet that has something to do with it.

I agree though that something seems wrong with Ware. I think his neck has been bothering him all season...and the hit on the sack he had didn't help today.

Ware wasn't a factor today for the most part. But if you failed to recognize his play over the course of the season as anything but stellar then you're the one who isn't paying attention.
