Might not have been a big day sack-wise, but he was everywhere on the field today. And how about the speed he showed running downfield with McCann to seal off the last blocker? That was beautiful.

Brad Sham gave Anthony Spencer some praise during the radio broadcast.

The one thing that Spencer seems to do that bugs me is when he engages a blocker and takes the inside and then the runningback bounces around him to the outside.

But I think Spencer is a solid player and we should retain him and not throw him to the wolves.

Butler looked good also... I saw one play where they tried to set up a screen to his side... and he recognized the play and turned around and made the play

Spencer is a very powerful OLB. He had been trying to play with way too much finesse this year, IMO. He needs to get back to bullrushing and stuffing TEs at the point of attack.

I was also impressed with how fast he was on the run back. I would like to see him take Brooking's spot on some plays and have V. Butler take his spot.

That's funny, going into today he was a bum.

I didn't see him as anything special today, not sure what the OP was watching.

GOOD posts...Lee was out there alot today too....Lee and Butler need to play more and Brooking less, that's just a fact.

couldn't just be your opinion, could it?

also, it s usual to use the expression "period" after statements like the above.

Brandon Jacobs should be fined after Brooking sealed him off on McCann's pick six. He grabbed him by the back of the jersey and started jerking him around.

What a ****ing *****bag

13 sacks in 3 1/2 years --that's 3.7 sacks per year for a 1st round draft pick....

He's had 4 years to prove he is something more than JAG.... he is what he is at this point -- a serviceable OLB -- nothing more. To expect him to magically get any better going into his 4th or 5th year in the league would be wishful thinking.

If the Cowboys can upgrade his spot next year, they should. The pass rush on this team is lacking and he is a major reason why.
