Antonio Brown traded to the Raiders

Honest question. If the Cooper trade never happened and the Cowboys were in need of a #1 WR and wanted Antonio Brown, who thinks they would have gotten him for a 3rd and 5th round pick?

We would have given up a 1st rounder and you know it.

(GMs don't matter.)

How do we afford that contract? lol

He’s making like 20 mill so that means no dlaw sorry!

That would have meant losing Dlaw, Gregory and Irving all in one offseason on the dline lol

This is an interesting situation. Brown is arguably an upgrade over Amari --so, currently speaking--The Raiders swapped a 3rd and a 5th for a 1st round pick and arguably got a better player, at least in the short run.

Brown will not likely play out his contract and it is going to cause one hell of load of dead money if he doesn't play it out. Plus AB is a locker room cancer. I don't see how he ends up being happy playing for the Raiders as a team in transition.

Here's the interesting part. Why would the Raiders trade Cooper and end up paying even more for a much older, problematic player? They have enough picks to stockpile some talent, but by the time that talent matures AB may be done.

I just don't understand the Raider's thought process on this one. Cooper is young enough that he can play out a new deal and he seems like a quiet, unassuming player. About the only thing that makes sense is that maybe the Raiders knew Amari would not resign and they wanted to move on before that happened. But that seems a bit of a stretch to me.

Out with Amari Cooper. In with Antonio Brown.

They upgraded while turning their 3rd and 5th round picks into a 1st rounder.

The Raiders are laughing at us.

They're only laughing at dumb Cowboy fans who are getting their panties in a wad over something the Raiders are doing. They are also laughing at dumb Cowboys fans who are complaining about what it took to get a guy that turned around our season and possibly the next few years. They are also laughing at dumb Cowboys fans who are combining the talk about the Amari trade with talk about the AB trade. There also might be a smirk on their face because these are the same dumb Cowboys fans who complained about drafting #55 when they did. I also seen a tweet about them laughing About dumb Cowboys fans who still think Wentz is on the way to the HOF.

Kind of like this deal for the Raiders. Antonio Brown will be 31, but he likely has a few more very productive years in him. The Raiders also have a ton of cap space so can absorb the additional guarantees. For a 3rd and 5th that seems like a good deal if they can rebuild and can turn the ship around in a hurry.

Many will say the trade for Cooper was a win for the Raiders now that they have Brown, but 6 years age difference is a big deal in acquiring a productive receiver. I do believe Cooper is just scratching the surface and I don't have concerns now knowing the Brown trade.

I'm pretty confident the Cowboys would have paid a 2nd rounder for Brown had they been in the market for a receiver.

Raiders are sitting pretty with picks though.

Wanna bet how far those moves get them?

But the real goal is getting people to buy tickets before they move to Vegas and getting locals to buy in their first year there, so mission accomplished since most fans are idiots. These moves won't win them a damn thing, other than ticket sales.

The NFL is trending more and more towards young rosters loaded with rookie deals. You don’t win by trading for 30 year old receivers and then paying them $15-20 million per year.
:hammer:Chuckie is definitely out maneuvering ole Chipperoo before the Egals fired him.

Agree, still nice to have those picks
