Antonio Brown traded to the Raiders

Honest question. If the Cooper trade never happened and the Cowboys were in need of a #1 WR and wanted Antonio Brown, who thinks they would have gotten him for a 3rd and 5th round pick?

We would have given up a 1st rounder and you know it.

(GMs don't matter.)

Gruden replaced Cooper with an additional first round pick and a top 2 WR in the league. I’d have taken that deal

Of course you would, Rowdy #347. And you'll get as many rings out of it as the Raiders will with this deal. :muttley:

So the Steelers got a 3rd round pick and a 5th round pick for one of the best WRs in football.

Let this be a lesson to the guys who think DLaw is worth 2 first round picks, or anything close to that. :muttley:
The Steelers got a 3rd and 5th round pick for a guy they drafted in the 6th round. A 31 year old receiver that was soaking up huge amounts of cap space and quitting on his team in the most important game of their season. The Steelers won this deal IMO.

Rated the best WR in the league...I promise y'all will trash any football player. If he speaks his mind, y'all will hate him for that.

Haha... it's gonna take Chucky all of 3 years into his 10 year deal to ruin the Raiders.

Out with Amari Cooper. In with Antonio Brown.

They upgraded while turning their 3rd and 5th round picks into a 1st rounder.

The Raiders are laughing at us.

Antonio Brown will be 31 the first time he steps on the field for Oakland.

Amari Cooper will be 25 this year and still on his rookie deal.

This was a weak troll, even by your standards.

Stupid? They traded Amari Cooper, a 3rd round pick and a 5th round pick for Antonio Brown and a 1st round pick.

Now Brown could end up being a malcontent but on face value that's great for them.

They just guaranteed an additional $30 million to a 31 year old receiver who openly admits to caring more about his numbers than winning.

They got a 3rd round and 5th round pick for an All Pro, whose price was lowered because everyone knew they had to get rid of him.

In the end, he gave them more headaches than rings. But I'm sure my local friends will agree with your rationalization.

Nobody was giving up a first for a 31 year old malcontent receiver

First off Cooper is just as good He just didnt have Ben throwing him pinpoint passes 50 times a game. So Brown and Coop are a wash to me.

Again? It's so bizarre you all think this is true.

Maybe when everyone around you seems crazy, you're the crazy one I guess.

This makes no sense to me, why give up that much cap space and two more picks for an old WR?

It's not like they were only a WR away, isn't the whole point of Gruden's approach to build a new team through the draft? By the time his rebuild is paying off AB will be in his mid 30s and probably retiring

It is interesting how people see things differently. I'll take 24 year old Cooper any day of the week over 30 year old AB. But hey, I think it works out pretty good for the Raiders too.

That's cool, because I'm laughing at the Raiders. Antonio Brown got what he wanted in terms of money, and the only thing the Raiders will get out of that deal is short-term increased ticket sales to morons who think that team will win anything because of this move.

He’s still soaking up a huge amount of their cap space. They did the best they could but in no way is this a win for the Steelers. They traded arguably a top 10 player in the NFL for a 3rd and a 5th.
