Antonio Bryant is standing out in Buccaneers' camp, according to the St. Petersburg Times. Coach Jon Gruden said, "Antonio Bryant is the one guy I think from a talent standpoint, he's picking it up. We need more guys to do that."

Our View: Bryant has a legit shot to nail down the starting job opposite Joey Galloway, and is an intriguing fantasy prospect for 2008, namely as he racked up 1,009 receiving yards with Cleveland back in 2005.

Question: Should the Boys have taken a longer look at Bryant this off-season?

not then. Hopefully Bryant's other game has gotten as good as his football one.

If Bennett doesn't get it together over the next couple of years, he could be a Bryant.

I'm still sick over the fact that this kid just never seemed to get it. I was so pleased when we drafted him cause I really thought we had a superstar for years to come in this kid. I still wish him well, hoping he can live up to the potential I thought he had, but I'll always be a little sad that he couldn't get it together here in Dallas.

Standing out has never been his problem...standing out for the right reasons has.

Yeah... just like on "Hard Knocks" when that guy got out of the ice Bath and had something standing out.

Antonio Bryant is just like that.

Clove I love ya man ..... but Bennett is nothing like Bryant.

Bryant has anger management problems ..... Bennett is just unmotivated.

AB seems to start the year fine, going along great, then he fades.

I agree with a couple of the above posts. I was really excited when we drafted him. I called my daughter and was downright gleeful at the steal we made. Yeah....Then he and QC decided to ignore the plays that were called and do whatever the heck they felt like doing at the moment.

Meaning a person with all the talent in the world, but mentally too immature or allow his pride to get in the way of just being great.

I've known tons of guys like this. We had a guy on our flag football team back in 96, he was fast as lightening, had all the talent in the world but his attitude was messed up so I had to kick him off the team. We ended up winning the championship.

6 years in the league- and on what, his 5th team? If he has not figured it out by now he never will. If he does not have the mentality or self discipline to keep in line, nothing else matters.

Nobody has ever questioned Bryant's athletic ability, just his brain. Campo was a pretty patient coach and Bryant reeked havoc with him. Parcells was a disciplinarian and Bryant reeked havoc with him. Perhaps a year away from the game has finally done him good, but I'd rather give a guy like Austin or Hurd a chance over some nutcase that was so hated the first time around, we traded him mid season.

Parcells and his idiotic mind games screwed up Bryant. There is a reason Parcells has very few friends.
