Bring him in for a 1 year deal, helps our secondary, and helps us not force our first pick.

There's another team that will be on the market for a CB come free agency and draft.

Sure why not. At least kick the tires on him. If he makes the roster, fine, if not, oh well.

Well he did have a hire cornerback ranking then MO did this past season. I'm not against it if we end up hitting Carr with a June 1st cut. Would rather kick the tires on Charles Tillman but his season ended in injury.

I am not sure how good (or bad) he was for NYJ last season though it seems to be more of a salary cap casualty which makes sense since they may be forking out big bucks for Fitzpatrick.

He already verbally has interest in playing here...any interest for a veteran presence in our defensive backfield?

He wanted to come here last season. Definitely worth a look.

I think he is on the down-swing. Next season will be his twelfth and he will be 32 years old. He didn't have a single INT in 15 games last year.

The cliff is rushing at him head-long. I'm going to pass.

There are reasons why players are released. Usually big ones.
My wish, mate, is that from now on, Sir Jerry and his pack of clueless assistants, resist the urge to claim retreads who at one point happened to be big names.
Also, while we are at it, players with talent who have trouble pasts, because those troubles always seem to come back and with a vengeance.

I say, draft for talents AND character, much like old man Landry use to, though sometimes his players turned out to be head cases after being drafted.

Dwight Howard pretty sure leads the department of "making babies across America" campaign.

We sorely need to forget about any band aid acquisitions. It's time for this team to tend to building for the future and be realistic about our slimmer-than-slim chances to seriously contend for a SB this year. It simply won't be happening. We have far too many suspect areas to even consider it.
