Well, with the Charges parting ways with Gates, if Witten retires, who is on board with bringing him in as a stop gate for a year or two? I certainly think it adds a dimension to our offense we lack with the retiring Witten. I don't anticipate him to come particularly expensive after only starting 4 games last year.

I doubt we bring him in. Seems like we've gone younger and different way on offense. Dez released Witten retired. trade switzer. signed turns drafted gallup traded for Tavon and drafted Schultz.

Love your avatar btw lol

Ignore the name, look at the stats. Gates is no better than Witten at this point.

We can do without Gates just starting cutting the ones that don’t produce at this point

That Gates no longer exists.

I don’t know what we do at that position.

Just hope Rico can take the next step.

Eifert was the move we needed to make but Witten dropped this on us late.

Well, what I am saying is without Witten, we are better off with Gates than without him. I still pray Witten plays another season. I want him to take the TD record from Bryant. That aside, Celek may be the better signing.

Between age and injury concerns, he's not a viable answer, even in the short term. It's time for our young TEs to finally play and see if any of them can step up, they don't have to be a pro-bowler, but can any of them produce. Now's the time to find out.

Let the young guys battle it out, best man wins, Gates will not help this team!
