Any chance Dallas could get some surprise help from Okoye?

sometimes you just do what ya gotta do. Piling on Hayden is a civic responsibility.

I'm not really down on Hayden, people forget that he was 4th string in 2013 behind Ratliff, Crawford and Ben Bass and only made the team because those three got hurt. He does nothing on passing downs but is OK against the run, plus he is smart in his assignments - the reason Marinelli likes him.

I don't think he makes the team this year because other players will be better, but people forgot what a disaster that 2013 season was for this line and that Hayden was the 2nd best player on that DL.

Why not. I can still ride a bike or race a car (well almost as well). He's healthy and if he gets in football shape he should be able to compete.

I think the interior of the DL is looking good. And the DEs ain't so bad although another edge rusher would make me do (ok try) a handstand.

Extremely intelligent (I'm talking true intelligence, not just football IQ. Think Travis Frederick. Won some awards/scholarships, I believe). Also extremely high character. Really hard not to root for a guy like this. Also a great physical specimen. Big boy (would be our second biggest DT behind Brent) but plays like a 3-tech. Has put up impressive numbers in the past. Really hope he can produce this year.

When it comes to combining cerebral and physical, this dude was possibly the all-time champ.

He graduated high school at 16, and college at 19; was the youngest NFL player ever drafted.
He only started football in high school, and quickly became a physical beast.

He was still young and learning the NFL game 2 years ago when he developed anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis -- a rare potentially lethal autoimmune disorder. He was in a coma for 4 months, lost 78 pounds, and has a 145 day permanent memory gap. The other effects of the disease have not created any obvious permanent deficits, though. He's been working extremely hard to get back to 100%, but there may in fact be some subtle strength and/or coordination impairments. He may require some maintenance medication, but that should create an additional obstacle.

Some who go through such trauma want to spend the rest of their life smelling the roses.
Amobi is not that person. He is determined to compete at the highest level, and he can't tolerate any excuses.
Ya gotta love that, and hope for the best.

He's as inspirational as Rudy -- and we may shed some tears if he runs onto that field and crushes the QB.

Who knows, but your betting on talent that was and hoping he can reclaim some part of it. At worst he's a camp body. At best he could be a starter. Most probable ability for an impact is as a rotation DT. Collect options and see what we have when we get to camp.

Chances are best he ends up being a camp body, but don't bet against talent and determination.

This example of a quality achiever and who has tremendous dedication, attention to detail, and heart goes to show just how extensive and realistic the player side of the franchise is running now. Great marks for both of these.

This may well be stating the obvious but Okoye has routinely been described as a longshot to return to active duty, whether in a rotation or otherwise. While that's likely, let's also be mindful that the same was said about Spencer not so long ago. It's often extremely difficult to gauge what hard work and determination can accomplish. I'm pulling for him to surprise everyone. Miracles are sometimes accomplished by those with the courage to recover. Here's hoping he'll meet that challenge.
