A few timeouts and 30 seconds more on the clock, and the saints would have tied it and probably won.

30 more seconds and a few more timeouts for the Saints would have basically seen Dallas run the ball three times and run out the clock.

I agree but plenty of people claimed injuries were the reason for our failures this time last year.

It is a great saying injuries are part of the game and do not have a bearing on winning and losing. I think key injuries have a clear cut effect on winning and losing. I don't think the Saints or Colts are a SB caliber team should Brees or Manning goes down. I think depending on where the strength of your depth is goes a long way in being able to overcome injuries.

I would hope not but it is football so there is always a chance of getting beat. My hope like many others is the Saints game will act as a spring board for this team to get hot at the right time of the year.

Yea, it is just going to be so dissappointing if we go to Washington and get beat. Not only do we probably lose the division and a first round home game, but we most likely would have to travel to Philly for Wildcard weekend (assuming we even make the playoffs).

I dont want to go to Philly in the first round.

I agree. Cowboys really have to look at all their games as playoff games including the skins. This is the time you want to get hot and I would hope the win over the Saints will be that boost this team confidence so they can make a strong run heading into the post season.

As great of a season as Minn has had after last night’s game they have to be doubting themselves

Laying an egg and losing the game are 2 different things here. Sure the Commanders are 4-9 and on paper we should win. But the Commanders are improving and no matter what the records are this game more than likely will be a dogfight. So it's very plausible for the Cowboys to come out fired up and play hard with intensity and still lose a tough game.

Hate to break it to ya dude, but another 30 seconds doesn't even equal another kneel down. You seem to forget that your mighty offense was the only choker in this whole game. Did they come back in the 4th and make a game of it? Sure. But when it was all on the line, the clock isn't what ended it for you. That would have been Ware and Spencer.

You might want to snuggle up to the idea of one and done. You're team has been teetering the loss line for weeks now.

Trust me when I say this. It's quite possible that the skins get beat tonight and come out jacked up for us. It's the mentality in that area. All my skins fans friends/associates are pretty pissed it was us that beat the Saints. They are very upset at any good fortune for us and WOULD LIKE NOTHING MORE THAN TO keep our Dec/Playoff issues in tact. Them doing it would mean everything to them.

However... we are the better team and I think our best effort can/will beat theirs. If we call an agressive game on both sides and play with urgency, I like our chances.

Also.. it's clear how they will try to contain us. Two deep zones. Try to take away the big strike.. and dare us to be patient enough to work our way down the field methodically without messing up first. It worked to perfection last game. We need to STAY AGRESSIVE. There are ways to challenge two deep and open up the middle of the field. Their safeties like to cheat and are susceptible to double moves.

Yea, Landry bit hard on a double move that cost the Skins the game with the Saints. If they are going to play 2 deep zone, the seams will be wide freaking open, that is the main weakness of a 2 deep zone.

Remember the last game was close because we turned the ball over. I think Barber fumbled in the red zone after we were gutting them up the middle with the run. If we dont turn the ball over, we should win.

What does this have to do with the thread? The Saints were dominated and punched in the mouth all night pretty much. The better team THAT NIGHT won. Get over it.

After one of the greatest regular season wins in franchise history, any chance we go to Fed Ex and just lay an egg???

If Philly beats the Broncos at the Linc, which looks like a strong possiblity after Denver lost at home to the freaking Raiders, then the division is on the line. If we lose to the Skins and the Eagles beat the Broncos, Philly wins the division title.

I just cant see us losing to the lowly Skins after beating the Saints.
we will be up for this game as we remember how we barely survived the last game with them....if we beat them handily I bet we beat the Eagles too, we will be so battle tested that we will be the team nobody will want to face come playoff time

Now you know injuries are no excuse unless they're ours.

With this Cowboys team, losing to the Commanders, or any team, is always a possibility. The Cowboys under Wade/Parcells have left me scratching my head more then once........and I'm sure it won't be the last time either. If this team plays to it's talent level they can beat anyone. Yet, they always seem to let up that big play or 2 that give the other team chances where they take advantage of.
