Any fans of extreme metal?

People like to clown on cradle for not being true dark stuff. But I’ve seen them in concernt on dfw like 4 times and they are so awsome. They freaking show up and put on a show. I saw them open up for type o negative, and then headline many of times. I wish I had the girlfriend I had then. She was gothic and amazing.

Pantera fan?

That said, I believe though not as heavy, Godsmack fits into that mold too. I also consider Godsmack the Black Sabbath of the 90s/2000s. Great singer and a guitarist who knows how to groove.

Metallica and Slayer (specifically South and Abyss) grooved too in their own way. I don't like most of Slipknots stuff, but the stuff I do is freaking golden and grooves too. (Cory's voice can groove like a youknowwhat-er)

This seems way too complicated. I understand sub genres, but this seems nuts.

Name a single band I posted you've heard on the radio.
I used the term "extreme metal" in its proper context.

I wasn't talking about specific bands, I was talking about the sheer number of categories. Extreme metal being a subcategory of metal, then another 5 subcategories of extreme metal, and then another 13 subcategories of those 5. It seems kind of unnecessary to be that specific.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Stevie T always cracks me up but is actually a very good guitarist.

I love metal but I do agree, there has to be more categories then any other genre of music which makes it more unique but confusing and perhaps unnecessary. I usually don’t search out specific sub categories, I like them all, if I hear a song or band and like them then great, if not I move on.

I will say sometimes I listen to certain categories based on my mood or what I’m doing, but again, I like them all.
