Answer the question...

I heard Eagles Tra Thomas... but we want someone that has Athleticism that can take on speed rushers.

Flo and Columbo are already locked up long-term. We also have Doug Free in the wings.

It won't be our priority this offseason.

Pretty rough list. About the only player I like a lot is Harvey Dahl. He's a smart tough player we had for a brief time a few camps ago. I think Atlanta tries to keep him though. If we get desperate, there's always Goff who I am sure Phillips and Houck remember pretty well.

Black is terrible, just terrible. Lehr would never be considered due to the steroids scandal he was involved with. If we go after anyone, it would be a guard.

I would as soon as let Ciskowski go after some college talent than go after some washed up veteran.

You have one guy who has still 2 years left on his contract (Kosier).

And another who has started several games in the NFL (Holland) and did a good job when he was in there.

You can't have 15 potentially starting LG's. The cap doesn't allow it.

What you'll see is the Cowboys draft a LG in rounds 3 or 4. But there will be no FA signings of a LG.

Flo better lean how to stop jumping offside. I can promise you Parcells did not teach him to jump offside nor has Wade Phillips. It is almost a joke now that he is expected to jump offside every single game and when dealing with speed rusher he has not been great.

I agree....I don't know how bad a cap hit it would take get rid of Flo, but hearing problems or no hearing problems his consistent false-starts are drive killers and are a microcosm of the team's problems. Not to mention he is approcahing 35 years-old which is the end of the line for most left tackles.

As I posted on another thread, Flo started his career playing Guard for Dallas and I think moving him back to the inside could benefit both Flo and the Cowboys

With all the money already tied up in the OL I can't see Dallas throwing a ton more at FA.

The draft is where you're going to get your depth on this O-Line. We just need to draft better at those positions.

And the fact that Collier is on that list, the guy from the Jaguars, is misleading. It's going to be hard for a guy who had his career ended this year to sign a FA contract with anyone.

I believe he's the guy who got shot in the leg or whatever and had his career ended.

I don't think we throw a ton more, but I DO think we sign a vet as a swingman, though. That list is shabby as all hell, though.

McQ is gone. Proctor is anyone's guess, although I suspect he's kept as a C backup. Free probably has one training camp to prove he deserves a roster spot.

I expect two rookie offensive linemen to be on the team next year, along with 1 new vet.

Don't expect anyone to start over Flo, Marc, Bigg or Gurode, though. There might be a competition at LG with Kosier and Holland.

LG is not an issue - with Kosier and Fatso in the fold we actually have some decent depth.

I personally have wanted us to draft a nice C-G combo player for a while. Free looked good in the preseason but we need some more competition there.

C/OG has been a serious issue. I think Proctor was kept around too long thinking he was that player and really needs to prove he can fight off a decent challenger, I don't care how much praise Phillips heaps on him. If Holland busts out or Kosier keeps breaking his foot, I would still add another guard.

OT depth is also a problem. Either Free is the future at LT or he isn't. Get one who is if he's not. McQuistan needs to go to Miami. He can carpool with Berger. A player who could play either tackle spot would be great.

Adams was hurt most of the year. Its not like he was dogging it on purpose. He had the hand problem early and ended with a leg issue that was impacting his performance. i do not think at 32 that he is long in the tooth yet. I DO want to see better quality depth especially in the interior.

I think if we do not get another O line coach it will not matter- its looking like Houck has lost his touch. With Holland we have the solid backup guard we need. Now we need the backup Center and Tackle- and the tackle needs to be a younger guy who can take over for the Hotel in a couple of years (or sooner). So frankly I am thinking of finding a good young tackle in the second rd of the draft. I would love to find a combo guard and center in the 3rd if possible.

And ANYONE who wants Jordan Black needs to be shot, hung, drawn and quartered then burned at the stake.

Somewhere in the draft, we need a backup center who's diligent and SMART. I still think -- or pretty much know, because Wade said it -- that a big reason we miss Kosier so much is that he helps Gurode with the line calls.

Gurode is a smart guy in real life who turns dumb when he gets on the field.
