We were never going to get any of that back anyway. When we win the SB Jerry can say that it was 10 million reasons to win it.

It's worthless thinking about the BS fines that the NFL hands out like candy at Halloween. Nearly everyone gets hit at some point, the players taking most of the brunt. If Snyder is indeed worrying about those fines, then that explains why his team is a dumpster fire. Move on down the road.

They weren't getting the space back and just decided to move forward.

Teams "Moving on down the road" is exactly why these things will happen again in the future. Jones and Snyder shouldn't have let this go, they should have done everything possible to fight this, they should have put a spotlight on this issue.

It's the same with the Jay Ratliff and Kyle Orton stuff. Do you think agents/players didn't take notice of what both Ratliff and Orton did? Even if the league can't do anything NOW about those specific situations, they could implement something to prevent similar situations in the future.

Instead, the NFL will wait until it gets backlash from the media and country to do anything.

Thats false because it was divided amongst the other teams and they had more to spend in free agency

Yes but it was just cap space. The Cowboys and Commanders had their caps reduced and the cap space was divided between other teams.

Jerry and Danny did not send money to the league. They just had less cap space to use.

The NFL owners didn't care about it because they had colluded to keep a false cap ceiling in place for the 2010 season. The NFL players cared but also agreed to settle all outstanding lawsuits as part of the new CBA.

The actuality of it is that the NFLPA and NFL are in a federal court case that simply put is about collusion. Once Doty decides the case then there are a number of things that could happen but if as expected that Doty rules against the NFL, then it will be appealed or most likely the NFL and NFLPA will settle with something like an increase in cap space and/or increase in team roster (NFLPA wants 60 man roster with all active on game day) and/or something else close to it.

As to Dallas and Washington, it is doubtful that they regain anything although from an attorney perspective it is possible that the NFL is forced to add additional cap space to both team over a two year span but I wouldn't count on it. Most likely the NFL would try to appease the court by giving both teams a couple of extra draft picks likely 3rd or 4th round types if anything but I would bet nothing happens for either team.
