Any rumors on vet O-lineman being brought in?

Now that week 1 is in the books, and Jerry has already spoken of his concern for the O-line depth has any name been credibly discussed as bringing in a Vet for o-line depth. At one point in Giants game we were running Bass and Richards out there with no one behind them. 8 o-lineman is a light number.

What was the score and quarter when we ran Bass and Richards out there?

A big need given the Cowboys were playing LG-3 in the first game of the season, their RT is recovering from an ACL tear he suffered 9 months ago (remarkable recovery for the big man) and Tyron Smith has been consistently missing games the past few years. Biggest need on the team right now.

The point is that they needed to be out there as both Edoga and Tryon had to come out of the game with Tyler Smith already an inactive. It was fortunate that it was not for an extended period for either.

I'd be patient on the OL. Tyler Smith should (lets hope) be back this week so the Oline should be at full strength. The reserves on Sunday seemed to be capable and I believe that Waletzko is on the designated to return list. If someone comes available that is too good to pass up they should go for it, but rarely do you find quality or even backup caliber OL available this time of year as nearly every team in the league is struggling to find 8-10 OL to roster.

OL most likely will need some help at some point given the age/injury history of this group, but for right now they are in one of the better OL situations in the league. My only real concern at this point is the backup C role. Maybe they really like Brock Hoffman though?

Parcells used to like to say in his press conferences: "You can never have enough tightends." With our team these days, I change that to offensive linemen.

I think they are going to go with the young guys, there is nobody out there anyway, only Peters, but for some reason they seem to be out on him.

I don't recall them needing to come out. Which is the point of my question. But I had TV on mute so maybe I missed them having to come out.

I don't see it happening, barring injury. They had multiple chances throughout the offseason and didn't take it, and now there's no one out there who's significantly better than what they have.

TB was the player most getting worked by the size \ power of the Giants. Jets are going to challenge them again.

Maybe Tyler will be back & can help TB some.
