I thought the Cowboys made a mistake in cutting him this year. They should have kept him and tried to develop him a little bit and then trade him.

noone was gonna trade anything for him

He's played well, but It is against the Vikings.

We'll see.

The discussion is going on NFL Zone. Someone started a positive post about Hutch and it did go into the Quincy Lovers vs Hutch Lovers debate :D

Ok I was guilty in that area though :)

If you are truly being objective and fair when evaluating players, you have to do so over the course of many games otherwise you are just providing an opinion and guessing, which I'm fine with as long as you admit you are taking a wild guess and basing your opinion on instinct etc.

Case in point, Chad Hutchinson is having a great game but let's see how he does in the coming games. People were willing to call out Parcells after Quincy had a good first game with the Jets but as you can see the Jets benched Carter for Pennington because Carter could never really get the Jets offense going. Carter did a good job in relief of Pennington but he wasn't that impressive either which is why Pennington was pulled prematurely from his healing process.

One thing I saw that reminded me of old Hutch was being hit from behind on that fumble. Holding the ball low and a little too long.

On other plays it looked like he's figured out how to tuck it away better, inclduing one where he looked as though he was going to force something but pulled it in.

A few good throws that should have been cacthes. A couple throws that were forced in there a little, but were catches. Decent touch on several throws. Threw on the run pretty well, ran pretty well but still thinks he's a LB going into the defender instead of sliding.

He was pressured most of the game but didn't let it rattle him. Had a couple sloppy exchanges, including one where he botched the snap than botched the handoff, which he shouldn't have tried. Even so, shrugged it off to throw a TD.

He had a good game, but I don't think MN was expecting it. He might have caught them by surprise somewhat.

James, the original prognosis was for three to four weeks out, and Pennington practiced three consecutive days and made the full range of his throws this week before Herm gave him the green light. He was not unduly rushed back and certainly not pulled prematurely from his healing process.

I think Coach Edwards fully understood the folly of bringing CP back too soon, considering the playoff situation. Had the arm not been ready (and today's game proved it was) I think Herm'd have gone with Carter one more week sans regrets, especially with the way the D has been playing (sixth game of the season today in which Jets held opponent scoreless in the second half).
