Any word on Fergusons injury? I though Brady was average at best at best and his voice is annoying - almost sounds like a kid!
Brady was terrible. There was a lot of dead air on top of Brady not really saying anything interesting.
Thank Bog other's heard what I head w/ Brady. There were several singing his praises in another thread. I thought he was terrible. Snarky and condescending. Ick.

At my peril? What would be my peril if he ends up being better than average? Olsen was a lot better IMO. He did a good job and had much better insights!
Another thing about Brady is that his voice just seems forced.. like a hostage being forced to say something. Hey, I’d talk out of my arse if I had to in order to pocket $375m for the next 10 years.

I was telling my son he is a little robotic.
And I don't think that will ever go away.

Guys like Romo and even Olson ( that I don't like) are amiable people in real life and words flow easily .

Some of the most accomplished and smartest people can not get over the hump of public speaking.....it's just innate

I think average is okay for his first game. He had some very good insights, he just seemed a little tentative and stumbled a little through some comments. I think that will improve as he goes.

I agree on the voice though. Hopefully as he gets more confident his comments will come out in a stronger, more clear voice, but it was a bit annoying

Brady is a guy who thinks a lot more of himself than he wants to let on. He's gone so far down the rabbit hole of pretending to be a "vanilla" guy that he almost can't be a real dude sometimes.

The most awkward moment is when they gave him his flowers - because they know how insecure he still is...it drove his greatness for goodness sakes - and recounted his first TD. A light-hearted moment as the sideline reporter passed the baton back up to the booth. Brady's AWKWARD response, "Awww...how do you expect me to remember THAT? It was such a long time ago..." as if he was too embarrassed for the moment.

Between the hairplugs and the fake persona ...that's the very reason you took this job is to have every moment to remind people you are the best.

I don't mind his ego...he's 1000% earned it. I mind that he LIES about it...and it comes through on his broadcasts.
This forum analyzes and worries way too much about other men talking about football. As long as they’re not being overly-biased against/for specific teams then it should be fine.

We watch the games for the gameplay, not the casters.

Brady will be fine. Underestimate him at your peril.
It’s gonna be hard for Brady to do the job with the restrictions. Most guys get inside info from teams to watch for during the game. Brady can’t attend pre production meetings, go in locker rooms and even has to be careful talking to players because as an owner he has same restrictions all owners do. A conversation can turn into tampering really quickly. He has the skills to be great but time will tell. I really enjoyed watching bill this week. Really insightful film breakdowns

I think we got lucky with Ferguson he did not sustain a bad injury but I do think we should let him rest this week isn't that what we drafted spoon maker for in the second round give him a chance to prove he's not a bust.

Like everything else Tom Brady needs to get a few games under his belt to feel comfortable now he does not have the ultimate television voice but I'm sure he will develop a better tone as things go on kind of like a singer takes singing lessons I'm sure he will develop a better stronger television voice with practice.

And he has the money to hire somebody to teach him to be good at this craft because trust me he will go back and go over this broadcast many times and will be the toughest on himself.

At this point in Tom Brady's life he has absolutely no reason to go on national television and make a fool of himself so I'm sure he will improve with each broadcast.

It was Brady’s first national broadcast . I expect him to put in the time and effort to improve , be honest and critical when necessary not just sugar & candy comments. I’ll give him some time .

The complaint I hear about Romo is he mails it in , don’t expect that from the Goat .

Fair enough. I’m just saying that people being overly critical of a dude who JUST started casting seems odd. I’m indifferent to most casters, whether they’re good or bad (subjective) - I’m mostly content as long as they don’t just dog on one team the whole game while praising the other.
