I'm excited to see Lawrence. I liked him a lot even before we drafted him and hope he's legit, we need it. It's a reserved excitement since he's been out all this time and don't really know what to expect.

Oh man that's great news. I noticed our DL really wearing down Sunday. Another fresh, explosive young body would do wonders. That's aside from the fact he is already probably the best pure edge rusher on the team.

Yeah, you can only use the IR with return designation once, you should be able to bring the player back any time you want.

I still think we should have used the IR with return designation on Lee, and just let Lawrence be inactive while he rehabbed.

It is a lot to ask of a rookie, but I will say this: it's one thing to ask him to be the savior of the defensive unit, and another entirely to ask him to fit in with what's already working and add a pass rush component. Early in the year, I was counting on him to offset the loss of Demarcus Ware. At this point, I'd be happy with 15 good plays from him in obvious pass rush situations.

I'll say this, the rest of the DL seems pretty excited about him contributing.

Spencer getting healthier, Melton getting healthier, Crawford coming along nicely and Lawrence returning should be awesome. Not to mention Bruce Carter returning.

Was thinking about the comments the trainer had to say something to the effect this might have been the best thing to happen
for Lawrence. It gave him time to condition his body and of course study the defense. Not expecting a world beater but a good
relief rusher might add a little something. He didn't hurt us being out.We're 6/1 and that's unreal.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

He will be asked to get to the QB. He has absolutely no help in that regard. It isn't working. We have to pressure QBs thru the postal service.

Yes. Its always best for a rookie to miss almost all of training camp and the entire preseason.

Barr and Donald each have 2 sacks after seven games and Clowney who has been injured has none. It's a good sign that Marinelli who isn't usually overly generous with his praise especially with players that haven't played a down has been very positive about Lawrence. Hopefully the extra time in the weight room and good coaching coupled with his ability will pay big dividends for us.
