Even if the deal goes thru it will not apply to current players suspensions imo. Scandrick gone 4 games.

Scandrick hasn't even been practicing for the 9'ers anyway, so even if by some miracle he could play, he probably would't get in the game very often.

Depending on what article you read, you get a different story. Some say talks are happening but the NFL and NFLPA are no closer to an agreement. Then I've read both sides are motivated to get this done and the NFLPA is under some pressure now being several players eligibility to play are affected. Happy to clear that up for you!

Per sources, the new drug policy is very close to getting done and Scandrick's suspension will be lifted immediately whenever it happens.
Highly unlikely he is going to be available to play Sunday.
The Cowboys did work on the SF game plan during camp while OScan was still present, so that could have some benefit. How much? Don't really know, but that's better than having no game plan prep.

Yeah, I had though about that... and it would help some. However, coaches hate to play guys who didn't practice the week leading up to the game. IMO, the vast majority of the game planning is going on this week.
Anyway, you could be correct and they might would feel like he got enough during the preseason.
Either way, it probably isn't going to matter because I don't see any way OS is going to play week 1.
