Any word on T.O. finger?

Trivial things he has done since joining the cowboys pales in comparison to the things he has done prior to joining the cowboys.

To be fair I felt the same way about Keyshawn when we signed him to play, the difference is he grew on me where TO just seems to reinforce why I did not like him before.

Save the drama for the mama or another team is what I think about with TO.

Just like those that defend him on this board, I bet money they were laughing and ripping on him when he was with the 49ers and Eagles.

At least those that don't like him now are being honest and sticking with the same idea and not just turning their heads because he is wearing a star on his helmet as opposed to an eagle.

I guess so, but I have never disliked Owens, so I am being honest with my feelings as well.

I have coached 100's of kids, I have seen all kinds. He is better than some and worse than some.

Maybe that's why I am accepting of him.

Plus I saw a couple of things from him in the past that I liked, .. when he didn't even know anyone was watching, ... err, filming.

You're an honest man, .. where you from anyhow ? :D

yep he is catching the ball already which is great news. he is my favorite player s well as the best player IMO so this is all good.

He is already catching balls?? Where did you guys here that? I thought, he wouldn't be ready till TC.

I love T.O. ,he talks smack and backs it up.Ever notice the more smack he talks the better he is?And I am sure T.O. haters will love him this year if he is back to the T.O. he should be,healthy handed. He is not a criminal, like so many in the league. He just talks fun smack the same as Chad Johnson,Steve Smith,etc...no difference.Muhammad Ali talked smack, backed it up.It is confidence to me,something some athletes just dont have these days.(mavs-hint hint).I see "The Player" having a great year with a full Romo to T.O. TC.

Finally, someone who is honest about it.

All of you that are anti-Owens, .. just admit it like BP has, you don't like him.

That's fine, I can respect that.

But don't bring up the trivial little things that have happened since he came to Dallas and say that is why you don't like him.

It makes you look petty and uninformed.

You didn't like him before he got here and didn't want him to sign here to begin with.

He has been fine since he got here, he put up good numbers last year even while injured.

He will be back this season and hopefully have an even better season.

I can understand that you don't like the guy, .. some do, some don't, ... but leave it at that to be taken seriously.

:hammer:

Further, it becomes counterintuitive to root against a player that is playing for the team you are rooting for.

One thing is for sure the Sam Hurds of the world either here, Filthy, or in Whiner land love him and so do most of his current and former teammates. Given that bit of info is all the reason I need to like the player.

The one thing many people seem to forget is that T.O. had THREE procedures on his hand.

I won't blame all of his drops on his injury, but there's no way that at least half of those drops aren't attributed to an injured hand, which by the way happens to be the most important part of the body for a receiver.

He broke his hand vs the Skins and had surgery that same week, then in the off-season he had to have 2 more procedures, so once again math majors, that adds up to 3 operations on one hand.

T.O. will have an even better year this year since he'll be 100% healthy, and I'm very happy he is a part of this team. He at least shows emotion and acts like he gives a damn on the sidelines as where the other so-called "leaders" just sit there looking sad when things are going wrong.

Here's to T.O. getting 1,200 yards and 15 td's this year.

Some people can not differentiate between not liking a player, not wanting him here...with not wanting him to do well.

I want him to do well because it helps the team win.

However just because he helps the team win it does not mean I have to like him.

There IS a difference.

As I said I did not want keys to sign but he changed my mind and I respected him. He earned that from me. There was no drama while he was here from my memory.

He kept his mouth shut, pretty much stayed out of trouble and caused no distractions.

TO...Different story IMO. With him it is always something and he is always the victim.

Here is a novel idea. How about the man just show up, do his job and have no drama happen. Geez is that so hard for a guy to do?

The best way to change the people is to not cause drama, go out and do a great job and you will turn most people around and love ya. It is all the drama I could do without.

Let's see if TO can go the season (offseason and camp included) without any drama. Let's see if there is a bad game for the team and he does not start yelling at a teammate or coach. Let's see if he actually makes meetings on time. Let's see if he does not cause any distractions by saying stuff to the media.

IF he can do all of that and produce on the field I will change my mind...however I think odds are it will not happen...only TO can make me wrong and I would welcome that.

IMO, I could care less about his so-called antics/drama/etc, which many were media created in the first place and I guarantee they will be worse this year. Remember this is the dreaded year two of the guarantee T.O. meltdown so get your popcorn ready and prepare to be disgusted to the max. The coverage will get very ridiculous and for those who don’t like him now will be completely revolted by the end of the season even if his play helps us to net another superbowl.

Personally, all that matters is that he performs at a high level and that he contributes to the Boyz winning. I am not hung up on grown men speaking their minds. I never will understand the just shut up and play mantra. In my world children should be seen and not heard but if a man has something to say, good or bad he has every right to do so.

Also, I applaud you if you can dislike a guy and still root for him….however, you are the exception and not the rule. Many here judging by their comments aren’t so judicious to differentiate the two. And speaking from personal experience I fall in the latter category. If I don’t like a guy I will be dam if I root for him regardless if he is on my favorite team or not. Just my $0.02.
